Insane! A joint United States and South Korea exercise has been scheduled for March. It will be one of the largest military drills that have been conducted on the Korean Peninsula and involves a total of 300,000 troops—a staggering number!
Both North and South Korea have been on the brink of war for decades, but things are truly starting to heat up as allies are being formed and tensions rise.
If you recall World War One started because of problems globally involving: nationalism, economic competition, formation of allies, secret diplomacy, and military buildup (to name a few), and officially kicked off due to the death of Austria’s Archduke Ferdinand and his wife.
Could it be that with the building up of over 300,000 US and South Korean troops that there is something brewing on the horizon? After all if war were to spark with North Korea, you can bet the United States will become involved.
