【うらやましい】
envy-----> 動詞；うらやましがる
envious------> 形容詞；うらやましい
enviously---------> 副詞；うらやましそうに、羨望して
彼がうらやましい-------> I envy him.
うらやましいよ--------> I’m envious.
友人の子どもはうらやましそうに他の子どものおもちゃを見ていた------> My friend’s child enviously looked at another child’s toy.
息子のクラスメイトを動物園へ連れて行かなければならなかったから、それを聞いたときうらやましいとは思わなかった
-----> I had to take my son’s classmates to the zoo, so after I heard of it I didn't envy you.
Jealous -------> 形容詞；うらやんで、嫉妬して（使うときは関係が深い人）
友人のご主人は彼女にとても嫉妬している---------> My friend’s husband is very jealous of her.
とてもうらやましい(イディオム）--------> I’m green with envy.
＊ブログ管理人のMayの個人的な意見ですが、若いネイティブスピーカー（とくにアメリカ人）はさほど気にせずjealousを使うように思います。新しいiPhoneを買った友人に対してや何かで得したときなどにI'm jealous.と言います。感覚的には「いいわねー」ぐらいの軽い表現です（講師はあまりお勧めしていない雰囲気ですのでクラスの中ではenvyを使うほうがいいでしょう）

前置詞の組み合わせと言えば----------> Speaking of preposition combination

音楽と言えば--------> Speaking of music

英語の歌を歌うと言えば--------> Speaking of singing English songs
＊数えられる名詞は複数形にする（1つのことを言っているのではなく一般的なことを言っているので）

＊前置詞で意味が変わってしまうので注意！

This last weekend, my husband and I went camping with our two dogs. It's been 20 years since we went camping last time. It was good, but we were ill-prepared for spring camping because we took it lightly. Unfortunately, it rained cats and dogs all day long. To make matters worse, we forgot to stake four places of the rain fly, so the tent leaked during the night! It was cold, so I couldn't sleep well.
(この前の週末、私と夫は2匹の犬と一緒にキャンプに行ってきました。最後にキャンプをしてから20年ぶりでした。楽しかったのですが、準備不足で、春キャンプを甘く見ていました。あいにく一日中、大雨でした。さらに悪いことに、私たちはアウターテントの4か所もペグダウンし忘れたので、テントは夜中に雨漏りしました! 寒くてよく眠れませんでした)
最後にキャンプに言って以来20年ぶり--------> It’s been 20 years since we went camping last time.
私たちは20年キャンプに行っていなかった--------> We haven’t been camping for 20 years.
