* 今回、日本語の「だんだん」と「どんどん」についてブログ管理人が国語辞典で調べたところ、だんだんは 順を追ってゆっくりと変化してゆくさま。しだいしだいに。
一方、どんどんは 物事が勢いよく進行するさま。とありました
英語のgradually は１）moving or changing in small amounts : happening in a slow way over a long period of time. 2)not steep とありますので 今日のブログではgraduallyは「だんだん」と訳を付けたいと思います
講師が授業中に gradually を「どんどん」と説明していましたが、この二つは日本語の解釈もやや曖昧に使われていますので臨機応変に考えてください
