日本のテレビショーで生き残り！！

Japan Probeさんが、今度アメリカのABCで放映されるI survived a Japanese game show--ー日本のゲームショウで生き残った、くらいか？－－－という番組を紹介している。日本のテレビでよく見られる馬鹿ゲームをアメリカでアメリカ人たちが挑戦するような番組である。投稿は、この番組に批判的である、コメント欄も批判的である。ABCを批難しているのもある。

　ここらへんが、アメリカ人の公正のところであり、また、在日外人の方々の多くが日本のことを思っていって下さっている、という証左だ。心強い。（有道もこういうことをすればもっと受け入れられると思うが・・・）
　
　ところが、この番組予告みて、実はおれ、どこが人種差別的なのか、よおわからんかった。日本の馬鹿ゲームをまねて喜んでいただければそれでいいような気もするが・・・・

しかも、

モスクにあったすべてのコーランが没収、拘留された人もおり、拷問を受けているという。

　毎日新聞社の英語版サイト「Mainichi Daily News」は2008年6月21日までに、過去に配信した記事に不適切だとの批判が相次いだとして、これらの記事を配信していたコーナーを閉鎖した。

　同サイトの「WaiWai」というコーナーでは、 「ファーストフードで女子高生が性的狂乱状態」と題された記事や、「六本木のレストランで豚を獣姦し、その後食べた」といった内容の記事を過去に配信しており、インターネット上で批判が相次いでいた。

■「記事配信を停止することで、批判におこたえしたい」

　毎日新聞社はJ-CASTニュースに対し、批判を受けてこれらの問題記事を削除したことを明らかにしたが、2008年6月20日の時点で「WaiWai」のコーナーでは記事配信を継続していた。また、問題となった記事を書いた外国人記者の署名入り記事も引き続き掲載されていた。

　「Mainichi Daily News」は同サイト内に告知文を掲載し、

　　「WaiWaiに掲載されていた様々な記事について当サイトには不適切だとの指摘を読者の方々から頂きました。このコラムからの記事配信を停止することで、こうした批判におこたえしたいと思います」

と述べている。

ギリシャの罪深き政策

　亡命希望者に対する警官による暴行・拷問が問題になっております。
　まあ、日本でも亡命受け入れる数に関しては全然誇れるものがありませんが、今回のケースは官憲による暴行・拷問が問題とされております。

They hit me across the face, they put a wooden stick to my neck and started to strangle me.

"They accused me of being a people-trafficker. They tied my hands and my ankles with a rope and pulled me up so that I was suspended from the frame of a window and they left me there all day."

トルコから国境を越えてきた亡命希望者に対して、顔面をぶち叩き、首に材木を取り付けて縛り上げ、手足を縛られ、窓からつるされる。

海外からの調査によると、

移民に対する敵意はずっとあり、ギリシャ人の中には本質的に人種差別主義がいるから、警官によってこうしたことがおきても特に驚かない、という人までいるそうです。

BigBさんなどがしっかりした知識に基づいて論じておられる。まあ、こうやって、しかりした、かつ、日本を公正に扱っていただける在日外人さんがいることも強調しておこう。

ただ、不気味なコメントもある。

この極端な警備をみていると、なにやっていいかわからず代わりにきた教師を思い出すよ。知性でごまかすんじゃなくて、物差し片手に、机をひっぱたいて歩いて、大声を叫んで生徒を怖がらせていうことをきかそうとし、また、静かにしろどなりちらし、しつけと服従を要求する。しかし、ところがどっこい、生徒もばかじゃない。教師もたいしたことないとみて、教頭がきて、その教師を左遷でもしなければ、（義憤から）その教師を誤魔化そうとする、ひねくれた生徒がでてくるのも時間の問題だ。
洞爺湖もそうなるかもしれん・・・・

比喩的にいっているが、外人が生徒で、この暴力教師が日本の警察だろう？。つまり、在日外人が警察にplay trickしはじめる、と？。
まさか、英国のイスラムの過激化みたいなことじゃないだろうな？

だんだん、やばいことになっているんじゃない？
まあ、このDRってやつは、以前すごいコメント書いていた奴なんだ。

なかなか背景がわかりにくいのですが、文面からすると、この地域、ナショナリスト独立派の多い地域で、教会はそうではないのでしょう。で、その住民ともうまくやってきたつもりだが、それでも窓ガラスが壊されるなどの襲撃をたびたび受けている、と。

うーーーん、これはヨーロッパが誇る多文化主義が負わなければいけない犠牲なのでしょうか？

嫌われるロシア人観光客

A recent research published in the Netherlands revealed that many foreign tourists, particularly the Dutch, prefer to stay away from Russian holiday-makers in Turkey and Egypt.

“I interviewed hotel managers and personnel and asked them to compare two groups of tourists – Russian and Dutch. The respondents complained of the Russians mostly. They said that Russian tourists were often aggressive and noisy and preferred to stay in their hotels all day and all night long. The Dutch, however, prefer to communicate with local population and visit local shops and cafes,” the researcher said.

Many Russians coming to Turkey or Egypt do not know English or speak it poorly. Many of them are simply unable to communicate with either other vacationers or hotel personnel. In addition, the Russian style of body language differs greatly from that of the West

なぜかというと、ロシア人は攻撃的でうるさく、ホテルに一日中、一晩中いて、英語もしゃべらない、てか、他の人たちと意思疎通できない、と。

　いや、小樽温泉が外人禁止したのも、きっかけはロシア人の振る舞いがあまりにもひどかった、ということだったので、目を引いた記事。

議論の要はこうです。

　女性は自分が選んだ職業が何だってする自由があるべき。
　もっとも、子供の養育のために危険な目にあわせてはいけない、という議論があるが、その議論を認めてしまえば、

　従って、母親であっても銃を取って戦場にいく自由がある、というものです。

　ま、だから、銃をとれ、というか、戦争がいい、悪いは別にして、銃をとる自由を！という感じですね。

　以前の記事で、問題になっているのは、Racial profiling　犯罪性向人種別絞り込み、とでも訳せるか？
　つまり、犯罪者に関して、怪しい対象を人種によって絞り込むのである。外人というのは人種ではないが、まあ、論理的に同じである。おれは、重大イベントなどの性質に応じて合理性のある限りで、ある特定の特徴を持ったグループを対象とするのは、その方々の不満は正当なものの、質問態様なども考慮して、効率という点からして協力を要請することは妥当な範囲内である、と論じた。で、もちろんもっとよい解決策があればそれが一番よい。そこで調べてみた。

　アメリカを例にとろう。Amnesty International USA魚拓

　運転中　ある中近東系の人は停止され、死体を運んでいないか、と聞かれる。
　歩行中　あるアジア人は信号無視して横断歩道を渡って４５分にわたり尋問を受ける。
　空港　　８歳の中近東の子供が家族から引き離され捜索を受ける。
　買物中　黒人がレシートを示したにもかかわらず、保安室に連行される。
　家　　　ラティーノ家族は、明け方４時半に警察の捜索がはいる。部屋が人で過密すぎるかチェックするためだった。
　教会　　イスラム信徒は、モスクからでると、尋問を受け、車を捜索された上、車検切れのために逮捕、パソコンを押収

　といった例が挙げられている。

　外国人のみなさん、日本でよかっったねええ、などというつもりはないが、アメリカでもかなり問題になっているようだ。

　例えば、メキシコとの国境ぞいでは、メキシコに帰るメキシコ人まで検問にあい、Border busts coming and going　LATimes May 7, 2008 逮捕される始末。
　あるいは、国内でも

Article Excerpt・・・・My preference is for a more narrow usage, as broader definitions include law enforcement practices that, arguably, are legitimate. Therefore, "racial profiling," as defined here, is a form of racial bias whereby citizens are stopped, questioned, searched, or even arrested on the basis of their minority status per se, rather than due to a demonstrated, elevated risk of lawbreaking.
　Several rigorous studies undertaken in the United States provide evidence of such "racial profiling." For example, John Lamberth of Temple University (cited in Harris 1999) sent out teams of observers to the New Jersey Turnpike and, based on observations of over 42,000 vehicles, found that black and white drivers violated traffic laws at virtually identical rates. However, police records indicated that 35% of those stopped and 73% of those stopped and arrested were black, while only 13.5% of the cars on the road had a black driver or passenger. Lamberth concluded that "it would appear that the race of the occupants and/or drivers of the cars is a decisive factor [in the number of stops of blacks] or a factor with great explanatory power" (Harris 1999: 198).

Lamberth's study illustrates what I consider to be the two main elements of "racial profiling": (1) members of a visible minority group have a significantly elevated likelihood of being subject to some form of police action, and (2) the more aggressive targeting of that group is due to the group's visible minority status, rather than to behavioural differences that might warrant a higher level of police scrutiny.Inflammatory rhetoric on racial profiling can undermine police services.(Canada)
