People who are impatient

Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Yesterday, I took a walk along the Tamagawa River.
There are a lot of cherry trees and many people enjoy cherry
blossom viewing every spring.

They have not bloomed yet.
But three groups spread big sheets under trees and sat down them
and had parties.
What impatient people they are!
After all, they want to drink whether cherry blooms or not.

We have to wait for cherry blossom for one more week in Tokyo.

‘Four and five makes nine’ is not good

I watched a YouTube video of Mr.Haruaki Deguchi who speaks to
young businessmen.

Mr.Deguchi is the former president of the Life-Net Insurance
Company and now the current president of the Ritsumeikan
Asia Pacific University.

He said,
“You should think spontaneously and have good ideas for business.
For example, you were asked by your boss to do specific task.
It’s already 4 p.m. and it takes 5 hours to finish the task
Therefore You have to work overtime till 9 p.m.
But you make an appointment with your girlfriend at 7 p.m.
Of course, you want to enjoy dating with her so you have to
think of a way to finish the task by 7 p.m.

It was interesting and convincing.
I will use this topic when I conduct a business training
for young people.

TV news and Internet news

Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Before, we used to get information from TV mainly but nowadays,
we can get them from internet too.

When it comes to news, on TV, only usual commentators speak
only usual things. But on the internet, unique commentators
give us a lot of valuable information.
My favorite program is ‘TORANOMON NEWS’.
Commentators in this program don’t appear on TV because TV
doesn’t want radical opinions.

It depends on, which you believe, TV or Internet.
I think I can know deep insights from the internet.

Serial Drama

Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

I had never watched any serial drama on TV for a long time
because I didn’t have time to watch them since I was busy.
But recently, I enjoyed it.

Before, we only watched them on TV at a regular time every week
But now we can enjoy them through the internet whenever we want.

I subscribe to the WOWOW channel which is a popular pay-TV in Japan.
There are many serial dramas that they produced in the past.
We can select our favorite dramas and enjoy them through the
internet.

I found a mystery drama called ‘GENYA’.
The original author is Mr.Keigo Higashino who is very popular.
I enjoyed it very much.

I hope I can watch other serial drams, too.

Wrongdoing

Yesterday, I conducted a business training.
The topic was ‘Compliance’.

There are many kinds of compliance problems.
For instance, incidents related to spending money that happens
many times especially among financial staffs.

We discussed why wrongdoings happen.
In a situation where in only one person is in charge of
handling money, wrongdoing occurs easily.
Sometimes even if the person is reliable, it’s still risky.

We should always have a quality assurance system that
could avoid any wrongdoings.
