The state run news agency Xinhua reported that China's third new aircraft carrier, "the Fujian," which was launched in June 2022 and moored at a pier in Shanghai, China, began its first test voyage on May 1.
The purpose of the test voyage is to make final confirmation regarding aircraft carrier operations. U.S. intelligence agencies released in March to forecast it to be commissioned by the end of this year.

China aims to develop a military force that can deter U.S. intervention in a Taiwanese contingency. After its commissioning, "the Fujian" will be possibly deployed to the East Sea Fleet of the Eastern Theater Command, which has jurisdiction over Taiwan.
From May 1 to 9, the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration has established a no-navigation zone in offshore waters approx. 100 km east of Shanghai in order for military exercises.
As of the morning of the 1st, the Fujian was confirmed near the pier where it was moored, and it's forecasted that she will head towards that sea area.

According to Yonhap News Agency, (* the Russian state run) news agency "TASS" reported on April 30 (local time) that, in the situation that the number of Russian tourists visiting N. Korea from northern Russia is increasing, a record largest scale Russian tourists group visited N. Korea recently.

Tourism to N. Korea by Russians has been promoted full-fledgedly after the summit meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairperson of State Affairs Commission in N. Korea Kim Jong-un last September.
The 1st sightseeing tour after the meeting was done on February 9 to 12 at 97-persons scale.
