Last Thursday, Tim's and my mutual friend, Liz came to Takasaki to travel with 12 of her American friends.
Liz was born and raised in Takasaki but she lives in the USA.
Some of Liz’s friends belong to an organization called Friendship Force International.
Friendship Force International is a non-profit cultural organization focused on promoting understanding cultural education and citizen diplomacy through homestay journeys and personal friendships.
Some of the group members including me join zoom meetings that Liz holds once every week.
This was the first time for us to meet in person.
One interesting thing was I could tell by one of the group member's FB posts where they were. He often posts so it was as if I were traveling with them.- vicariously.
先週の木曜日、ティムと私の共通の友人のLizが12人のアメリカ人の友人と旅行するために高崎へ来ました。
Lizは高崎で産まれて、育ちましたが、今はアメリカに住んでいます
何人かのお友達は国際フレンドシップフォースという組織に所属しています。フレンドシップフォースはホームステイの旅と個人的な友情を通して、理解ある文化教育と市民外交を促進することに焦点を当てた非営利の文化団体です。
私を含めて何人かのグループメンバーはLizが開催している週1回のズームミーティングに参加しています。
私たちは今回、初めて直接会いました。
面白いことのひとつには、グループメンバーのフェイスブック投稿で、彼らがどこにいるのかがわかったことです。
彼は頻繁に投稿しているので、あたかも私は彼らと一緒に旅行しているかのようでしたー自分の体験のように
