『ピンケーブルとノイズ vol.8』の続きです。

2芯シールドケーブルの自作についてお話してきました。

このケーブルはシールドを接続している一端と

接続していない側があります。

つまり極性があります。



一般論ですが、

シールド側は、接続機器の多い方にすると良いようです。

例えば、プリアンプとパワーアンプであればプリアンプ側になります。



また、デジタル機器とアナログ機器を接続する場合は

アナログ機器側が良いようです。

CDとプリメインアンプではプリメインアンプ側になります。



余談ですが、

極性を指定しているケーブルはたくさん発売されています。

その多くは接続方法によって極性が発生するのではなく

銅線を生産する際の伸線工程で極性が発生する・・・とのことです。

以前、私はオーディオケーブルの製造工場

（オーディオメーカー向けのケーブルを生産している工場）へ行ったことがあります。

そこの工場長がおっしゃるには

伸線工程で極性が発生しても

その後、撚り工程で極性はなくなってしまうとのこと。

また、機械の関係で国内のどのケーブル工場でも同じだろうとのことでした。

その工場は複数のオーディオメーカーのケーブルを生産していましたので

そのお話にびっくりした覚えがあります。

もちろん、極性管理を行っているケーブルもあるとはおもいますが・・・

It is a continuation of "Cable and noise vol.8"

Last page, I wrote about manufacture of double core shielded cable.

There are "side which has connected the shield",

and "side which has not been connected" in this cable.

That is, it is polar.



Although it is a generality,

It seems that the shield side is good to use a direction with much connection apparatus.

For example, if it is a preamplifier and power amplifier, it will be on a preamplifier side.



It seems that the analog equipment side is good

when connecting digital equipment and analog equipment.

With CD and integrated amplifier, it is on an integrated amplifier side.



Although it is a digression,

Many cables which specify polarity are put on the market.

Polarity does not occur with a connection method by many of the cables.

It is said that polarity occurs in the production process of copper wire.

Before, I went to the manufacturing facility

(factory which produces the audio maker-oriented cable) of the audio cable.

The factory manager there said.

Even if polarity occurs, polarity is lost at a subsequent process.

"It will be the same at every domestic cable factory. " He said.

Since the factory produced two or more audio makers' cable, I was surprised.

Of course, there may also be a cable which is performing polar management.

『ピンケーブルとノイズ vol.7』の続きです。

2芯シールドケーブル自作時の注意点です。

シールドはノイズ防止が目的で、

信号を通すのではありません。

そのためケーブルの一端のみ接続します。

（両方接続すると信号が流れてしまいます）



2芯ケーブルの写真を掲載します。



この写真のケーブルの場合、下図のような接続になります。



また、太いケーブルを使うよりも、長さを短くするほうがお勧めです。

電気抵抗に関しては、

太さを2倍にしたときと、長さを半分にしたときでは同じ抵抗値になりますが

ノイズに対しては短いほうが有利です。

これらの点を考慮すれば、

高価なケーブルよりもはるかに高品位な音質が楽しめます。

100万円のピンケーブルも存在するようですが、

100万円の1.5mのケーブルと上記のケーブル15cmでどちらの音が良いか・・・

興味深いです。

It is a continuation of "Cable and noise vol.7"

They are cautions of double core shielded cable manufacture.

The shield portion aims at noise prevention.

It does not let a signal pass.

Therefore, only the end of a cable is connected.

(If it both connects, a signal will flow)



The photograph of double core shielded cable is published.



By this cable, it becomes connection as shown in the following figure.



Moreover, the one shorter than a thick cable is recommended.

"Twice as many thickness as this" and a "length half" are the same electrical resistance.

However, to a noise, the shorter one is advantageous.

If these are taken into consideration,

It becomes sound quality more nearly high-definition than an expensive cable.

Seemingly, a 1 million yen cable exists.

Are which good as for "the 1.5-m cable of 1 million yen", and "handmade cable 15cm"?

It is interesting.

『ピンケーブルとノイズ vol.6』の続きです。

ピンケーブルの構造を考えてみます。

ピンケーブルは芯線とシールドがあります。



芯線だけに信号が流れ、

シールドはノイズを防止するのが役割・・・と多くの方は考えていると思います。

実はそうではなく、両方に同じ音楽信号が流れているのです。

豆電球を点灯させるのと同じように

信号線は必ず往復で１セットです。



シールド線はノイズを防止する役割と

音楽信号を伝達する役割が兼任なのです。

6NやOFCのように高品位な素材を使用したピンケーブルが多いのですが、

多くの場合、芯線のみ高品位なもので

シールド線は普通の銅線・・・というケーブルが多いのに驚きます。

そこで2芯シールドと呼ばれるケーブルが開発されました。



芯線が2本あり、音楽信号の往復の路線に使用します。



これだけではノイズに弱いので専用のシールドを設けます。

これならば、素材の良さも活かすことができ、

ノイズにも強い理想のケーブルになります。

Let's consider the structure of a RCA cable.

There are a core and a shield in a RCA cable.



It is a role with which a signal flows only into a core and a shield prevents a noise.

Probably, many people think.

In practice, the same music signal as both is flowing.

A signal wire is "go and return" necessity so that an electric bulb may light up.



The role which a shielded wire delivers noise prevention

and a music signal is additional post.

There are many RCA cables which use a high-definition material like 6N or OFC.

In many cases, only a core is a high quality material.

A shielded wire has many cables which use ordinary copper wire.

Then, double core shielded cable was developed.



There are two cores.

It is used for go and return of a music signal.



Since it is weak in a noise only now, a shield for exclusive use is prepared.

The merit of a material can also be harnessed if it is this.

It is a cable of an ideal strong also against a noise.

『ピンケーブルとノイズ vol.5』の続きです。

『バランスケーブル』と呼ばれるケーブルがあります。



プロの世界でも使用されているため

いかにも音がよさそう・・・な気がします。



ムジカではバランス端子を廃止してしまいました。

バランスケーブルがプロの現場で使用されるのは主に3つの理由です。

１、信頼性が高い。

　　ロック機構があるので引っ張っても抜けない。堅牢なので踏んでも壊れない。

　　放送局やコンサート会場で一番怖いのは、事故で音が止まることなのです。

２、ノイズに強い。

　　ノイズに弱いマイクからの信号を何十メートルも延長しなくてはいけない。

　　接続ケーブルを何十本も使用するのでノイズの事なんて考えていられない。

３、昔からプロ用の機器に標準的に使用されている。

　　機材を外に持ち出して使うことも多いので、ケーブルの規格を統一したい。

　　何十本も所有しているバランスケーブルを今更他の規格に変更できない。

いずれもプロの現場での独特な理由であって

ホームオーディオを楽しむために必要な要素ではありません。

乱暴な言い方かもしれませんが、

プロの世界では音が良いからバランスケーブルを使用しているわけではないのです。

割高のバランスケーブルを使用するなら

その分コストのかかったピンケーブルを使用した方が音は良いと思います。

There is a cable called a "balance cable."

There are some persons who say, "Sound is good."



The balance terminal was abolished in MUSICA.

There are mainly three reasons a professional uses a balance cable.

1,It is reliable.

Since there is a lock mechanism, it does not escape.

Since it is strong, it does not break.

It is most fearful that sound stops at an accident at a broadcasting station or the concert hall.

2,There are few noises.

The signal from a weak microphone is extended for a long time in a noise.

A noise cannot be taken into consideration in order to use many cables.

3,It is standardly used for professional apparatus.

I would like to unify the standard of a cable.

Many balance cables cannot be changed into other standards.

It is a professional peculiar reason.

It is not an element required in order to enjoy a home audio.

The professional is not using the balance cable for the reason "sound is good."

It is better to use a RCA cable better than a comparatively high-priced balance cable.
