Opening ceremony for large mosque is held in Aichi Prefecture

TSUSHIMA, AICHI PREF. – A Muslim group held a ceremony Friday to unveil a newly built mosque in Tsushima, Aichi Prefecture.
The mosque, which can accommodate 500 people, is one of largest in Japan, according to the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Japan.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, said at the ceremony that last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris were cruel and that those who kill innocent people will provoke the anger of God.
The sword is not what is needed for the spread of Islam, he said.
Muslims from a total of 27 countries as well as local residents, Buddhist monks and shrine representatives attended the ceremony.

ＩＳＩＳがコーランの独特の解釈に基づいているとしても、欧米でテロをしでかそう、という人たちは、イスラム教の教義の研究から、テロに走った、というわけではない。
彼らはイスラム教徒というよりも、実質、文化的には、欧州人であるにもかかわらず、イスラム教徒としてのけ者にされてきた人たち、というほうが正確なのかもしれない。

The enemy France and Europe are struggling against is far closer to home.

The prime targets for today’s terrorist recruiters are young people who are divided between two worlds—their parents’ home country and their own new land—and who feel at home in neither. Social media can offer an alternative and more thrilling home—and visions of causes worth killing and dying for. This is dangerous stuff for people who have slipped the hold of ancestral rules, but not yet accepted as their own the liberal values of the post-Enlightenment West.
親の文化圏と、受入国の文化圏の中間にいて、中途半端で、所属先も不安定、帰属意識も薄く、雇用差別、職場差別に晒されて、十全に機能する場所がなく、これといった、目的もない。
