Final Tournament

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Now, this year’s final tournament of the Lady’s Professional
Golf Tournaments in the U.S.A. is being held.

Only top 60 players can join the tournament.
My favorite player, Hinako Shibuno was not able to join it
because she didn’t reach top 60.

However, other Japanese players are playing very well.
Especially, Nasa Hataoka keeps the 1st position as of the
third round.

I hope she will play well on the final round and become
the champion.

Firefly on The Sea

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Umihotaru is a service area on the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line Highway.
Umihotaru means a firefly on the sea in English.
It is located on the way of the highway which runs over the sea.

I was going to visit there yesterday with my motorbike, but
I cancelled it because the weather report said it was windy.
I guessed it would be too windy on the sea.

I hope I will visit there on another good day.

MVP

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Major Baseball League Organization announced MVP player.
It elected Shohei Otani unanimously.

He was elected as MVP unanimously in 2021, too.
He is the first player to be elected twice unanimously.

Congratulations!
I hope he will play well next season too.

HIDAKAYA

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

I found an article on Nikkei MJ about Hidakaya which
is a popular Chinese food restaurant chain.

The company is growing very much after the pandemic.
There are three key points.

1. No.1 of orders is beer
After work, many people drop by the restaurant and
enjoy drinking some beer for a while.
2. Take Out
Many people buy some dumplings to add them for dinner
at home.
3. Usual Taste
The foods are not unique, not special.
Many people feel usual taste.

I think the company’s strategy meets the needs of the times.

Hinako Shibuno

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

A few days ago, I wrote on this blog that my favorite
golfer, Hinako Shibuno was on the edge of a cliff.

She tried to get some points in the last tournament to
be seeded for the next year’s tournaments in the U.S.A.

Although she tried her best, she was not able to achieve
her goal. She needed to remain within the 80th in the ranking,
but her final ranking was 83rd.

She will continue to play in the U.S.A. next season, too.
Since she will not be seeded, she will be able to join
limited tournaments.

However, she never gives up.
I will cheer for her as well.
