Consistent and thrilling

Hi there, Jun Tomioka here.

Now, two young female Japanese pro-golfers are trying the qualifying
test to enter games of the professional golf tournament in the U.S.A.
in the next season.

They are Ayaka Furue and Hinako Shibuno.
Both of them are young promising golfers.

I am watching their plays on TV every night.
Since it is broadcasting at the midnight due to the time difference,
I lack sleep recently.

By the way, their playstyles are different.
Ayaka plays very consistently. She seldom makes mistakes.
Hinako sometimes makes a big mistake but when she has a good mood,
She shows dynamic plays. Since her play is thrilling, she is
very popular among golf fans.

Anyway, I hope both of them will pass the test and play well
in the tournament in the U.S.A. next year.

High Grade Shokupan Boom

Hi there, Jun Tomioka here.

Recently, a new bakery opened near my house.
A few weeks after it opened, many customers used to visit
and buy their bread.

The bakery sells high grade ‘Shokupan’bread.
‘Shokupan’is a loaf bread,
We cut them into thin slices and toast them.

In the new bakery, one shokuopan costs 2,000yen.
It’s very expensive.
Usually, it costs 200yen in the supermarket.

In Japan, “High Grade Shokupan Boom” has been continuing.
It became popular because it was softer and sweeter than
the ordinary shokupan.
Many people seem to enjoy this‘petit’luxury.

I don’t think there is a big difference between high priced
and low priced shokupan.
I guess this boom will end after a while.

Time management

Hi there, Jun Tomioka here.

When I conduct a business training, I am always conscious about
time management.

I am afraid of having time left over, with nothing to talk about.
So, I tend to speak slowly in the first half.
But if I do so, on the contrary, I lack the time.
So, I have to speak fast in the second half.

My ideal situation is that I speak at the same pace for the whole
business training.
I always aim for the ideal situation.

Aftereffects

Hi there, Jun Tomioka here.

I read an article in a newspaper about aftereffects of a new corona
virus infection.

The National Medical Study Center conducted the research of 500
patients of covid-19. 26.3% of them had aftereffects.

Symptoms are as below:
A dull sense of smell
A feeling of weariness
A dull sense of sense
Coughing
Fever
Difficulty of breathing

Even if we recover from the infection, we might have to spend
a difficult time for a while.

We have to continue to make our efforts to avoid the infection.

Omicron

Hi there, Jun Tomioka here.

Omicron is the name of the new corona virus variant.
It came out in South Africa and spread to other countries.
It has been discovered in over 20 countries.

In Japan, two cases of the Omicron have been confirmed.
The first person came from Namibia in Africa and the second
person came from Peru.

The Japanese government decided to stop visitors from foreign
countries so far.

Misfortunes never come alone.

I hope the Omicron will not be so bad.
