Shohei’s statement

Hi! Jun Tomioka here.

Shohei Otani is a superstar Major League baseball player.
His interpreter, Ippei caused a scandal about gamble.

There was a possibility that Shohei was concerned about this
problem and paid a lot of money to a bookmaker instead of Ippei.
As the bookmaker was an illegal one, Shohei was on suspicion of
illegal behavior.

Shohei explained about it in front of journalists yesterday.
He said that he didn’t know and was not involved in this matter
at all.

The police and the Major League Baseball Organization are
investigating this issue.

I hope they will settle this issue and Shohei will
focus on his baseball play as soon as possible.
