花と親しむ

土曜日にいただいた友人のてづくりの花器です。菊の花をいれていただきましたが、なんとも愛らしいです。

嬉しいですね！

The handmade flower vase I received from a friend on Saturday is simply delightful. She arranged chrysanthemums in it, and it looks so charming.

先週の木曜日いつものように先生と花屋にいき、金曜日に活けました。

Wさんはお休みで、先生も同じ材料で３人でいけました。

ヒオウギの黒い実がつやつやと光っていましたが、スマホのカメラではうまく撮れず残念です。

 

シャル君もここのところご機嫌です。ただ自分の意志を通すのに軽くかむので、たしなめるやり方はどうすればいいのでしょう。

 

Last Thursday, as usual, I went to the florist with my teacher, and on Friday, I arranged the flowers.

W-san was off, so it was just the three of us, including the teacher, arranging flowers with the same materials.

The black berries of Hiougi (Iris domestica) were glossy and shiny, but unfortunately, I couldn’t capture their beauty well with my smartphone camera.

 

Sharu has been in a good mood lately. However, he lightly nips when trying to assert his will. What is the best way to gently correct this behavior?

 

ふたたび暑くなりました。

18日はお花の日、活けあがった花をみながら１２月にある華展の打ち合わせをしました。

１９日はシャル君のレッスンです。雨の後で馬場の状態はよくないので肢を痛めないように並足のみでした。

水たまりが太陽の光線で反射してひかるのがいやで、いちはやく馬場から帰りたがりました。

この日は日中びっくりするくらい暑くなり、帰宅して自分は軽い熱中症にかかったのではないかと思いました。

体調が思わしくなく、お昼寝を夕方までしていったん起きたものの、夕飯もたべないでまた続けて寝てしまいました。

On the 19th, it was Sharu-kun's lesson. Due to the poor condition of the riding arena after the rain, we only did a walk to prevent any leg injuries. Shar-kun was eager to leave the arena because he disliked the way the sunlight reflected off the puddles.

That day, the temperature became surprisingly hot, and when I got home, I thought I might have suffered from mild heatstroke. I didn’t feel well and ended up taking a nap until the evening. Though I got up briefly, I skipped dinner and went back to sleep.

 

Am 18. war der „Tag der Blumen“, und während wir die arrangierten Blumen betrachteten, haben wir das Treffen für die Blumenausstellung im Dezember besprochen.

Am 19. hatte Sharukun eine Reitstunde. Wegen des Regens war der Zustand des Reitplatzes nicht optimal, deshalb sind wir nur im Schritt geritten. Sharukun mochte die Reflexion des Sonnenlichts in den Pfützen nicht und wollte so schnell wie möglich den Reitplatz verlassen.

An diesem Tag wurde es unerwartet heiß, und ich denke, ich habe mir einen leichten Hitzeschlag zugezogen. Mein Wohlbefinden war nicht gut, und ich habe am Nachmittag bis in den Abend geschlafen. Obwohl ich aufwachte, habe ich das Abendessen ausgelassen und bin wieder ins Bett gegangen.

 

ネジバナ

真っ直ぐに生きてる積もり捩れ花　清水吞船

8月２８日の朝日新聞の俳壇に掲載された俳句です。

近年見る機会もなくすっかり忘れていた花ですが、この句をみて子どものころの記憶がよみがえりました。

自分の家の芝生の中などに、突然のように咲く可憐な小さい花です。でも雑草扱いされています。

自分はひそかに子供心にこの花を愛でていました。

この俳句を見てこの花のことがよみがえり懐かしく、どこかで出会えることを願いました。

"Straightforwardly living, the twisted flower" by Shimizu Tonafune

This haiku was published in the Haidan section of the Asahi Shimbun on August 28th.

Reading this haiku brought back memories of a flower I hadn't seen in years and had almost forgotten. It is a delicate, small flower that used to appear suddenly in the grass of my childhood home. Despite its charm, it was often treated as a weed.

Secretly, I cherished this flower with a child's heart.

Seeing this haiku brought back memories of that flower, and I feel a nostalgic longing to encounter it again somewhere.　　

夏の花

今回のガマの穂は生き生きしていて長持ちしそうです。夏はお花がいたみやすいのが悩みです。

人も猫も同じです暑さに弱いです。今回は暑さに強い花を選びました。

This time, the cattail spikes look lively and seem like they'll last long. The problem with summer is that flowers tend to wilt easily.

Both people and cats are weak against the heat. This time, I chose flowers that are strong against the heat.

 

梅雨入り

いよいよ梅雨入り、今年は遅かったです。

昨日は晴れてシャル君は運動できてよかったです。食欲もあり元気です。

キャコちゃんも１２日分のお薬を飲み終えて元気になりました。

夏になるとお花がいたみやすくなります。八月はお花のお稽古はお休みです。

The rainy season has finally started; it was late this year.

It was sunny yesterday, so Sharu-kun was able to exercise, which was great. He has a good appetite and is healthy.

Kyako-chan also finished her 12-day course of medication and has gotten better.

Flowers tend to wilt easily in the summer. In August, we take a break from flower arranging classes.
