秋なのに

これは６年前の写真です。９月半ばパンパスグラスが勢いよく伸びて秋の到来をつげています。

ところが今年はどうでしょう。９月も終わりなのに日中は３３度まできおんが上がりました。

こんな日はながく直射日光にあたらないように注意しています。

This is a photo from six years ago. In mid-September, the pampas grass was growing vigorously, heralding the arrival of autumn.

But this year, things have changed a bit. It's been an unusually hot autumn, almost indistinguishable from summer.

Nevertheless, it seems that we'll be able to see the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival tonight.

Even though the day after tomorrow will be October, today's daytime temperature is expected to rise to 33 degrees Celsius.

On days like this, both people and horses are careful not to be exposed to direct sunlight for too long.

The intense rays of the sun can exhaust living creatures to such an extent that it can even lead to death.

キャコちゃん大丈夫？

キャコちゃんの生活様式が変わりました。それは夜いつも二階で一緒に寝ていたのに、夏の間ずっと、そして今も一階のマスサージチエアで寝るのです。

それと夜中に大声で下に来るようによびます。

でもそれに付き合っていると自分が病気になりそうで困っています。

１８才で寝てばかり、でも食欲はあります。

どうしてこうなったのか理由が分かりません。

Kyaｋo-chan's lifestyle has changed. Instead of sleeping together on the second floor at night as we used to, she has been sleeping on the massage chair on the first floor all summer, and she still does. She also calls loudly for me to come downstairs in the middle of the night. However, accommodating her in this manner is starting to make me feel unwell, and I'm concerned. Ｋyako-chan is 18 years old and mostly sleeps, but she still has her appetite. I don't understand why this change has occurred.

 

やっと秋らしくなりました。

 

あちこちで彼岸花が咲き始め、朝などは気温がさがりひんやりとした空気にほっとします。

シャル君もだんだん元気になってきました。腰と肢も良くなってきていますが、年齢的なものなので大事にしてゆっくり過ごさせてやりたいと思います。

これから暑さで体力も奪われなくて済むと思うとうれしいです。

まだハエや蚊がいて虫よけのスプレーは手放せません。

Higanbana　has begun to bloom here and there, and in the mornings, the temperature drops, bringing a refreshing coolness to the air.

Sharu-kun  is also gradually getting better. His hips and limbs are improving, but due to his age, I want to take good care of him and let him take it easy.

I'm glad to think that we won't lose our energy due to the heat from now on.

There are still flies and mosquitoes, so I can't do without insect repellent spray."

 

耐えるしかありません

日中の気温は３３度を超え、暑い日々が人々や動物　植物を苦しめます。

涼しくなるはずの９月はどこにもありません。

五日ぶりに会ったシャル君は、思ったより元気そうで安心しました。

皆どの馬たちもこの異常気象に耐えています。

８時ころ短い１０分位の放牧をして、さっと丸洗いをして手入れをして帰りました。

The daytime temperature exceeded 33 degrees in Japan, making it hot and challenging for people, animals, and plants.

September, which was expected to be cooler, is nowhere to be found.

When I met Sharu-kun after five days, he seemed healthier than I had expected, and I felt relieved.

All the horses are enduring this abnormal weather.

At around 8 o'clock, I let Sharu-kun graze for a short 10 minutes, quickly bathed him, groomed him, and then returned home.

いくつになっても花心

横浜市庁舎（桜木町）アトリウムにて華展が催されました。

暑さをものともせず、精力的に活けられる方々に励まされます。

同じ流派のかたで社中はちがいますが９０才の方も参加されていました。

大変だからもうやめようか考えてた自分はまちがっていたのかもしれません。

A flower exhibition was held in the Atrium of the Yokohama City Hall (Sakuragicho).

I was inspired by those who energetically arranged flowers despite the heat.

While our schools of flower arrangement may be different, there was even a 90-year-old participant.

I may have been wrong to think about giving up just because it's challenging.
