お見舞い

 

宮崎に住む妹の体調が悪いので、お見舞いに行ってきました。前回会った時とは考えられないほど弱った妹と義弟に会い、

逆らうことのできない老いをひしひしとか感じました。

不自由な体でも痛みなくゆったりと過ごせれば、それはいい老後かもと思いました。

庭には春が忍び寄ってきています。

I went to visit my sister in Miyazaki, as she has been unwell.

When I saw my sister and brother-in-law, I was struck by how much she had weakened compared to the last time we met.

I deeply felt the inescapable reality of aging.

Even with physical limitations, if one can spend their days without pain and in comfort, that might be a good way to grow old.

Spring is quietly approaching the garden.

夏用のシャツ

お買い物は楽しいものですが、バザーもまた違った楽しみがあります。

自分も何点か提供しましたが、他の方が出された品を買う楽しはまたひとしおです。それに売上金が馬たちの医療費になることを思えば

嬉しいかぎりです。

Shopping is always enjoyable, but bazaars offer a different kind of pleasure.

I contributed a few items myself, but the joy of buying items donated by others is truly special. Knowing that the proceeds will go toward medical expenses for the horses makes it all the more gratifying.

穏やかなお正月

 

 

２０２５年元旦も二日も穏やかな冬ばれ、皆で今年も近くの神社に歩いて初詣に行きました。

日頃の感謝の気持ちと、今年一年どうぞ無事に過ごせますようにとお願いしてきました。

Both New Year's Day and the second day of 2025 were calm with clear winter skies. Together, we walked to a nearby shrine for our first visit of the year.

We expressed our gratitude for the past year and prayed for a safe and peaceful year ahead.

次の日はシャル君に会いに行きました。

駐車場から見える富士山と江の島がとてもきれいでした。

驚いたことに、行くとシャル君のお隣の皐月ちゃんが、起き上がれず寝たままの姿勢でおお焦りの状態でした。

病気ではなく寝る位置、角度が悪く自力で起き上がれなくなったみたいです。

先生たちに助けてもらってようやく起き上がることが出来ました。

本当に無事でよかったです。

The next day, I went to see Sharu-kun.

From the parking lot, I could see a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and Enoshima.

To my surprise, when I arrived, Satsuki-chan, who is in the stall next to Sharu-kun, was lying down and unable to get up. She seemed to be in a state of panic.

It turned out that it wasn’t due to illness but because her sleeping position and angle made it impossible for her to get up on her own.

With the help of the staff, she was finally able to stand up.

I’m so relieved that she’s okay.
