　※8～9行目やや訳に自信なし。何となく意味は分かる…ような気はするのですが。音楽と絵画は対極にある芸術ジャンルですよね。音は世界の一部。「描く」は対象を外から眺める。
　あらゆる表現者は「絵描きタイプ」と「歌い手タイプ」に二分できる……ような気がします。エリオットは極端に「絵描きタイプ」でしょう。ただもう見ている。同化しない。交響曲第九番の某巨匠なども「80%絵描きタイプの作曲家」という感じがします。何か矛盾している気もしますが。
