ピエールとヤヤ来日 Pierre and Yaya in Japan

Gaga配給「レッスン！」試写会にお越しいただいた皆さん、本当にありがとうございました　ヨシ矢野のＮＹ時代の恩師ピエール・デュレイン氏のトークイベント、楽しみましたか？　ピエールと一緒に来日した女優ヤヤ・ダコスタさん（映画ではラレッタ役）も日本でのひと時を気に入ってくれた様子♪　二人の日本での最後の夜、ようやくヨシ矢野もゆっくり映画や仕事、そしてダンスについて二人と話せました。もちろんピエールに教わったアメリカンスタイル社交ダンスを日本に広めることも！
そして二人がニューヨークへ帰る日の朝、この３人のダンサー達は都内のとある小学校にダンスを教えに行きました～。映画「ステップ！ステップ！ステップ！」でも登場したニューヨーク市の小学校社交ダンスプログラムを主宰するのは他でもないこのピエール。子供達も燃えました！！その様子は、テレビ朝日「ワイドスクランブル」（予定では7/2月曜)で紹介されます♪おったのしみにね。

Thank you all for coming to the screening for the movie, Take The Lead I'm sure you enjoyed Pierre Dulaine (Yoshi Yano's teacher in NY)'s talk event before the preview Yaya Dacosta, who played LaRhette in the movie, spent a good time in Japan On the fourth day of their visit, they finally had relaxing time over Japanese dinner, and talked about the movie, dancing, and etc...
And the next morning, these dancers went to one of elementary schools in Tokyo to teach ballroom before their flight back to NY!! Pierre is the founder of NYC kids dancing program 'Dancing Classrooms' as you see in the movie Mad Hot Ballroom. Of course, the Japanese children loved it very much.
You can watch their teaching and the kids' dancing on TV Asahi 'Wide Scramble' on Monday, July 2.

ホノルルの若き先生 The Teenager Instructor in Honolulu

ハワイのテレビ局ＫＨＮＬのニュースより素敵なティーンをご紹介♪
ホノルルで社交ダンスを大人たちにボランティアで教える１５歳のジョシュア君。
周りの同年代の友達にとって、「ダンス」といえば「頭でクルクル地面を回る」ような動きのこと
ジョシュア君は「みんなと同じことはしたくない」とエレガントなダンスを選んだんだ。
社交ダンスを始めたきっかけは、パートナーを探していたおばあちゃんに教えてもらったこと。
あんまり上手だから、大人達も彼の言うことはしっかり聞くんだって。
１６歳で運転免許証を取得できるアメリカでも、まだその年齢に達していない彼。
学校の成績も優秀で自分のロックバンドも持っている、爽やかで頼もしい先生です。

準備は日本で Preparation in Japan

SharonさんとGrahamさんは日本在住のらぶらぶカップル♪　JSDC東京でブライダルダンスのレッスンに励み、挙式は御実家のあるオーストラリアで行いました。オーストラリアの地元の新聞でもレッスンのことが取り上げられ、新聞とお写真を送って下さいました。100名以上のゲストの皆さんにもすごくダンスの振り付けが評判良かったんだって。最後のポーズも決まって、なーんともロマンチック　心よりおめでとうございます

Sharon and Graham are a sweet couple living in Japan They had a big wedding in Australia, where they are from, after taking wedding dance lessons with JSDC The local paper in Australia, reporting their wedding, also mentions their dance lessons in Tokyo Thank you so much for the paper and the beautiful pictures! There were more than 100 guests and they all liked the choreography Sharon and Graham practiced Look at the perfect finale pose It must have been a very romantice moment. Congratulations!!!

踊る子供達 Dancing Kids

ニューヨークに始まり今ではアメリカの各地に広がる小学校での社交ダンスプログラム。
ミルウォーキー州の小学校でも、運動効果だけでなく、様々な教育的効果を教師達が認めているよ。
ある５年生の女の子は「はじめは男の子に触れるのがイヤだった。でもレッスンが始まったらそんなの忘れちゃってた」。
教師達も「ダンスクラスをやり出してから、生徒同士の話し方、協力の仕方が全然違う！他の教科ではこういう効果は出ないと思う」と大絶賛。
あるクラスでは、すごく生徒たちの態度がよくなり「今月は、ずっとオシオキなし！？」と驚く教師もいるほど。

明朗会の発表会 Meirokai Performance

JSDCのヨシ矢野が担当する大田区の視覚障害者社交ダンスグループ「明朗会」。今年も年に一度の発表会が6月6日（水）大田区民センターで行われました　ヘルパーさんを含め6ペア12名で出演したナンバーでは、メレンゲで登場してタンゴとルンバを披露　今年も観客の皆さんよりたくさん拍手を頂きました～。JSDCの7月のサマーパーティではこの明朗会の皆さんがパフォーマンスを行いますよ♪　是非見に来て下さいね。

Meirokai is a social dance group of the blind & visually-imparaired in Ota ward, which Yoshi Yano (JSDC) is in charge of. The group had an annual stage performance on Wednesday, June 6th at the Ota Public Center Including the sighted helpers, a total of 12 dancers performed the merengue, rumba, and tango It was very successfull, and they are going to perform the same piece at the JSDC Summer Party next month Please come and see their beautifil show

ダンスで運動～中国 Dancing as Excersise in China

最近、急成長の中国。その中でも大都市の上海では子供の肥満が増えているんだって。中国教育部は子供たちが運動する機会を増やすために上海の小学校～高校までを対象にワルツなどダンスの習得を義務付けたんだ。これからダンス業界も発展しそうだね～　子供たちも肥満防止だけでなく、世界の音楽について、国際感覚、ゲーム以外の楽しい時間の過ごし方など色々なことをダンスを通して学べそう！！ここをクリックしてダンス記事を読んでみてね。こちらは上海の肥満に関する記事（英語）。

China doesn't seem to stop making a progress in many fields, but their economic growth has caused an increase in percentage of obese school children. The Chinese Educational Department has decided to start a one-hour mandatory dance class in schools in Shanghai. Wow! I think the dance industory will get much bigger in the future in this huge country. Also, dancing will teach students many things other than staying healthy, such as good communications skills, different types of music in the world, and how to have a fun time without computer games!
