月に一度の monthly practice

毎月恒例の練習会が今月も２７日（土）原宿で行われたよ　「色んな人と踊ることで上手になっていこう」っていうのが目標のこの練習会。とっても楽しいよ　初心者の人も、ベテランさんもお気軽にいらしてくださいね～
Monthly fun practice hours It was on May 27th (sat) in Harajuku this month. This is one of the great opportunities that JSDC students have to have fun & improve their dancing steps by trying out what they've learned in each class! Beginners and experienced dancers are all welcome.

ダンサーのためのタンゴ Tango Class for Dancers

月曜日の「ダンサーのためのアルゼンチンタンゴ」クラスだよ！ジャズ、モダン、バレエなどの経験者やプロのダンサーのためのクラスなので、レッスンの進むスピードは普通の３－５倍ほどです。 芸能界でも人気のタンゴ、これから更に注目されそうだね。ダンスのバリエーションを広げて活躍の場を広げたいダンサーの皆さん、タンゴも絶対マスターしてね！！

Argentine tango class for professional dancers on Mondays! All the students are supposed to have experience of Jazz, Modern, and ballet when they start this class. In this class, they learn 3-5 times more patterns of steps than regular classes.　Attention, all dancers in Japan Argentine tango is getting more popular among showbiz people too. The wider variety of dancing you master, the wider variety of fields you are going to have opportunities to perform

今年３月、東京では六本木で上映された「ステップ！ステップ！ステップ！」（原題：Mad Hot Ballroom)を見逃した方&また見たい方に朗報だよ Great news for those who missed the dance movie, Mad Hot Ballroom、originally shown in March 2006 in Japan!

 

6/17-6/23の間に東京では早稲田松竹映画劇場にて、あのアメリカでも大ヒットしたダンス映画ＲＩＺＥとの２本同時上映が決まったんだ　ハンドルネーム「音去」さんからの情報です。音去さんありがとう♪しかも劇場では、現在椅子を張替え中なので、新しい席で気持ちよく見ることができるよ（オマケ情報）。是非、このチャンスにヨシ矢野と以前一緒に働いたボス、ピエール・デュレインがＮＹで行う小学校社交ダンスクラスの様子をご覧ください！ダンスはもちろん、教育、文化、思春期、などなどドキュメンタリーならではの生の言葉や内容が心に響くよ

It's showing again at Waseda Shochiku Movie Theater during 6/17-6/23, double featuring with another popular dance movie "RIZE".  This valuable information is from Neko.  Thank you, neko  Also, for your information, they are re-covering all the seats right now, so you can enjoy the movies in a brand new seat!  Check out the social dance program at NY public schools organized by Pierre Dulaine, who used to be Yoshi Yano's boss in NY.  The movie shows you more than just dancing, but education, culture, adolescence...etc..through facts.  Yes, it's a documentary.

月曜日のお楽しみ Paradise on Mondays

月曜日午後１時のシニアクラスの様子だよ　シニアクラスは６５歳以上の皆さんのグループです！　同年代の仲間と一緒に気軽に楽しみながらやりたい方のためのクラスだよ　体操とメレンゲでレッスンをはじめて、モダンとラテンを１種目ずつ練習してるよ。人数も増えてきて、みんなでますます健康になってま～す　ここでレッスンして、パーティでは通常レッスンの生徒さんと踊るのも楽しんでいらっしゃるシニアクラスの皆さんなのでした　

A shot from Monday 1pm Senior class This is a group of people who are 65 years old or older and would like to take lessons with people of the same generation The class starts with warm-up excersise & merengue and moves onto Latin & Modern. New students are continuously joining the group and everyone keeps in shape though fun dancing They take lessons here and also join JSDC parties to dance with students from regular classes Don't stop dancing!!

来日するかな？新映画。Is this new movie coming to JPN?

久しぶりに新しい映画のご紹介だよ～　まだ日本公開の予定は分からないので邦題は？？だけど、原題は"Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School" (2006) 「マリリンホッチキスの社交ダンス＆マナー教室」って感じかな？妻を亡くした主人公が社交ダンス教室で、少しずつ立ち直り新しい恋を見つけるお話し。

５月１３日（土）に開催されたサロンdeパーティの報告の最終回はパフォーマンス　今回はブライダルダンスとスウィングでした！どちらも専属ダンスチームＪＳＤＴのメンバーによるものだよ

発表会に向けて Practicing for Performance

視覚障害者の方のためのクラス「明朗会」だよ！普段は隔週で練習しているけど、今月はパフォーマンスに向けて毎週レッスンなのです　何故なら、毎年６月は大田区主催の１週間も続くイベントでダンスを披露するからなのだ　今年はワルツを踊るよ。いっぱいいっぱい期待してますので、練習頑張ってくださいね

"Meiro-kai" is one of the JSDC special classes for the visually impaired, and has lessons every other week normally. But this month, they have been practicing every week for the performance next month June is the month when they annually perform in a week-long event presented by Ota-ward. Waltz is the dance for this year We're all looking forward to your performance Take it easy & good luck

新緑の中で ～Enjoy Fresh Green～

少しずつあったかくなってきたね　５月１３日（土）はみんなの大好きなサロンdeパーティだよ

Everyone's favorite "Salon de Paty" the next one is on Sat May 13th

 

日本のいわゆる「社交ダンス」とは違って、大きなダンスホールでなくても楽しめるのが、アメリカンスタイルの社交ダンス。そんな欧米スタイルの楽しさをたくさんの人に知っていただけるこのサロンdeパーティなんだ　また、結婚式での新郎と新婦によるファーストダンス（ブライダルダンス）の雰囲気も見ていただけるように、デモンストレーションがあるよ。今回新しい企画は・・・

 

①最後のフリーダンスタイムでは「レディースタイム」があるよ　これは女性から男性を誘っちゃおうという時間　女性も男性もお楽しみに。

②「まだ上手じゃないから誘いにくい・・・」「誘われても私のレベルで踊っていいのかな」とご心配の方に、かわいい初心者マークをご用意してます。希望者だけなのでもちろんつけないままでもＯＫ気軽にパーティデビューしてね。

③女性で、リーダーをやりたい（特にレディースタイムで）方用のリーダーマーク。女性でもどんどんリーダー役を楽しめる

 

We have first-dance demonstration for western style wedding as usual, as something new, we have

1, Ladies Time during free dance time for ladies to ask gentlemen to dance with.

2, Beginner's badge (cute one) for beginners (this is opetiona, of course!).

3, Leader's badge for ladies who want to lead.

 

その他、今回は軽快な雰囲気が世界でも大人気のスウィングのパフォーマンス、ダンスを踊ったことがなくても楽しめる初心者用ダンスレッスン、季節のお料理も楽しんでね。あ！そして今回のテーマカラーはグリーン　何かグリーンのものを身につけて来てね

Also, we have swing performance, mini dance lessons for beginners, and tasty food as usual.  The theme color is green as in fresh green Please come and join us in green tie, dress, necklace, or anything.

サルサワークショップ Salsa Workshop

5月4日（木・祝）原宿でゴールデンウィークのサルサ特別ワークショップが行われたよ～。初・中級と中級クラスということで、ポーズを含めて色んなステップをやってみたんだ　今日のレッスンを終えて、クラブデビューの決意をした人も少なくないのでは？？　やっぱり、夏に向かって熱いラテンはいいね　来月は70年代～80年代のディスコナンバーにのってペアで踊るハッスルのワークショップもあるので、是非遊びに来てね

レストランウエディングでダンス First Dance at Restaurant Wedding

間もなく挙式を向かえる新郎Hiroshiさんと新婦のNorikoさんのブライダルダンス練習風景だよ　お二人のお式は、Norikoさんの出身校の近くのおっしゃれーなレストランで行われるんだ　イメージは天国のような優雅な雰囲気　ダンスがピッタリはまるよね　二人の息もピッタリで、ポーズ本当に決まってる　なんて素敵なんだろ～　本番の様子、是非ご報告くださいね 心よりおめでとうございます！！

Noriko and Hiroshi are having their wedding very very soon, and they've been practicing their first dance very hard! The place they picked for their wedding is a very nice restaurant near Noriko's college The theme for the wedding is 'elegant' and 'peaceful' like heaven. That's a kind of a wedding that dancing would match perfectly Don't they look great already? Please send us pictures or videos of your first dance in your wedding gowns. Happy wedding!
