ラジオでブライダルダンス 'BridalDance' on Radio

JSDCのブライダルダンス（2005年商標登録済）がＣＢＣラジオ（愛知、岐阜、三重、および静岡、滋賀、長野の一部で放送）で紹介されるよ　
登場するのは6月4日（月）9:15amからの「多田しげおの気分爽快」のコーナー♪
15分間くらいの放送時間内にＪＳＤＣのヨシ矢野がブライダルダンスの素晴らしさについて語ります
日本全国にこの素敵なダンス文化が広まるといいな・・・

JSDC's Bridal Dance(trademark registered in 2005) will be introduced on CBC, a popular radio station available in Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Shizuoka, Shiga, and Nagano prefectures), on Monday, Jun. 4th starting 9:15am In the program, Yoshi Yano from JSDC is going to talk about how to incorporate wedding dances into Japanese weddings. We are hoping that more and more Japanese people experience this beautiful wedding tradition

タケシとマリア Takeshi and Maria

4月のプライベートスタジオオープン記念に生徒さんにセットで頂いたヒメモンステラの「タケシ」と寄せ植え「マリア」です。
愛情を持って大切に育てようとＪＳＤＣスタッフが名づけました。
皆さんからたくさんのダンスパワーを頂き、お陰様ですくすくと成長中
そして季節は温かくなり、めでたく両方の鉢から若葉誕生です
種類は違えど、出てくる位置といいクルクル具合といい、双子のようです。

A couple of potted plants, Takeshi (Monstera pertusa) and Maria (assorted foliage leaves) from JSDC students as gifts for the studio opening in April
JSDC staff members named them in order to take care of them with lots of love.
They are growing really fast, getting dance energy from everyone at the studio!
Now that the tempareture is getting higher, they both have baby leaves
The two plants are different kinds, but the babies look alike! just like twins .... both very curly and coming out from the middle of the pot

東西の融合 West meets East

5月27日（日）5月の練習会（プラクティスパーティ）が代々木にて開催されました　外は夏日のようでしたが、ゲスト、生徒さん、スタッフと約30名が爽やか～な午後を過ごしたよ　カリフォルニアで永年社交ダンスを教えるPhill先生と生徒さん、アメリカ西海岸で社交ダンスのレッスンを楽しんでいらっしゃる在米日本人の数名の方も「帰省（一時帰国）の際にもあちらで踊っているスタイルで踊りたくて・・・♪」とお越しいただきました　遠くからお越しいただき本当にありがとうございました。また必ず遊びに来てね

The monthly practice party took place on Sunday, May 27th in Yoyogi It was like a mid-summer day out, but the party was very refreshing with about 30 people including guests, students, and staff members Phil-sensei, who's been teaching ballroom dancing in California for many years, and some other Japanese dancers living on the West coast visited the event during their early summer vacation. Thank you very much for finding us and visiting us all the way from the US. Please come back to Japan soon again to dance with us

５月２２日から７月２１日まで、目黒でアルゼンチンフェスティバルが開催中　タンゴのレッスンはもちろん、映画や食べ物、教育講座(!?)まで様々なジャンルからアルゼンチンを知ることが出来そう♪　スケジュールその他は公式サイトをのぞいてみて！！

パーティ報告 Party Review

５月１９日（土）南青山でサロンdeパーティが行われました
ゲストとスタッフ総勢５０名で楽しい午後を過ごしたよ。
テーマカラーはアイリス（あやめ）の紫♪紫大好きなポーチャン大興奮でした。　
JSDC had its Salon de Party in Minamiaoyama on Saturday May 19th.
A total of 50 people including guests and staff members all had an exciting afternoon.
The theme color for this party was purple! I was really excited since it's my most favorite color

天気雨 Rain on a Sunny day

渋谷のプライベートスタジオにいたら午後にザーっとお天気雨が降りました～　東南アジアのスコールを彷彿させる新鮮な瞬間でした。今週は「オオテマリ(大手毬）」がスタジオで皆さんをお待ちしております♪ アジサイに似ていますが全く違う種類だそうです。花言葉は「さわやかな笑顔」　梅雨入りももうすぐ、本物の（？）アジサイの登場ももうすぐです

Staying at Private Studio in Shibuya, I heard a rainy sound on a sunny afternoon It was a pretty view and it reminded me of squalls in Southeast Asia As the flowers of this week, Japanese snowballs are waiting for you at the studio. Looking like hydrangea, this flower has totally different origin and is a different kind Now that the rainy season is almost here, you'll see 'real' hydrengea very soon

同性ペアで競技会 Same-sex Ballroom Dance Contest

ニューヨークでアメリカ初の同性同士のダンス競技会が開催されたよ　通常行われる男女の競技会と違うのは、このコンテストでは競技の途中でリーダーとフォロワーが変わってもＯＫ　楽しそう♪これまではこんな組み合わせのカップルが出場する大会は「ＧＡＹダンス競技会」として行われていたんだけど、出場者全員が同性愛者とは限らず、同性愛者ダンサーでも異性のパートナーと組んでプロとして通常（男女ペア）の大会に出場する人もいたりする。今回の大会で優勝したWojtasiakさん（オリジナル記事のトップの写真タキシード姿）は2004年にアメリカ同性社交ダンス競技会連盟を設立。この大会の開催によって同性同士のダンス競技会の概念を変えたことに大きく貢献したんだ。彼女にとって「リードは気持ちいいけど、フォローはイマイチ」だって。ニューヨークタイムズ5月13日の記事でした。クリックしてオリジナルの記事へ。スライドショーも見れるよ

家族でダンス Dancing with Parents

ShoichiさんとTomikaさんからご結婚式のファーストダンスのご報告　わーおすってき～♪お二人の理想のお式はアットホームかつドラマチック　実現できたご様子、私たちも感激です。お二人でのダンスのあとは、お二人のご両親を誘っての家族3カップルでのダンスも披露。Tomikaさん、お父様と踊りながら「ありがとう」って言えたことがうれしかったんだって。お父様やお母様にとっても最高の思い出になっただろうね～　他にもたくさん夢のようなお写真あるのです！またの機会に皆様にもお見せしますね♪　いつまでもお幸せに

I'm glad their dream came true with this beautiful dance After their sweet dance, another song started for another dance by their parents, so three couples danced altogether and changed partners Tomika felt really happy when she got to say 'thank you' to her dad during the last dance. I'm sure her father was really happy also There are more pictures of them, but I'll save them for the next time Congratulations, Shoichi & Tomika.

テーマはヲタク The Theme is Nerd

いつもテーマに沿ったドレスコードを楽しむＪＳＤＣのサロンde パーティはお馴染みですが、今日はカリフォルニア州立大学で年に一度開催される「Nerd」をテーマにしたダンスパーティのご紹介！　「Nerd」って日本語でピッタリ当てはまる言葉はないけど、オタクとか、ガリ勉とか、イケてない人とか、社交性がないとかそんな感じ。パーティでのダンスの種類はディスコ風のからペアダンスまで色々なんだけど、ポイントは「Nerdっぽさ」　「内なるオタク」ぶりを入場の時に告白すれば入場料も割引になるという徹底振り　理想のNerdドレスコードは、写真の彼女のように、髪をひとつに結んで、サスペンダーに黒いネクタイ、そして眼鏡着用。入場するのに戸惑ったある男の子は「最初は緊張したけど、オタク風の女の子と踊って安心した」って語ってるよ。いつの日か、サロンdeパーティでもこのアイデア採用か オリジナルの記事はここをクリックしてね。

ドレスで練習 The Dress Rehersal

　ＪＳＤＣの新スタジオでブライダルダンスのレッスンに励むのは、お式直前のEtsukoさんとKazuhiroさんこの日は最後のレッスンで、本番で着るドレス＆靴での練習です！お二人の華麗＆ロマンチックなフィナーレのポーズを見ていると、成功間違いなしって感じだよね。お式は先週末でしたが、その様子は・・・・またご報告します　お楽しみに～
