新シーズン競演者 Contestans for the new Season

少し前に紹介した男らしい社交ダンス。アメリカの有名人から社交ダンスの才能を引き出す番組Dancing with the Starsは、日本の「Shall we Dance? オールスター社交ダンス選手権」の原形です。新しいシーズンの出演者１１名が発表されたよ　今回一番の注目を集めているのは、この笑顔輝く女性。元ビートルズのメンバー、ポールマッカートニーとの離婚報道で最近大きな話題になってしまった元妻、へザー・ミルズ。１９９３年の交通事故で片足を失った彼女だけど、義足での出演者は番組初　他にも、元'N SyncのメンバーJoyey Fatone、2004年のミス・アメリカ代表、女性ボクサーLaila Ali（父はモハメド・アリ）、スケートの元金メダリスト、80年代に活躍したスーパーモデルPaulina Porizkova、「ビバリーヒルズ青春白書」のIan Zieringなどなど豪華メンバーだ～。結果など分かったらお知らせします

小さなスタジオ A Small Studio

４月中旬、渋谷のこの通りにＪＳＤＣのプライベートスタジオがオープン予定です
ブライダルダンスをはじめとするプライベートレッスンやセミプライベートレッスンを中心に行うよ。
その他、皆さんに更に健康で美しく、そしてしなやかに踊っていただくためのストレッチクラスやピラティス・ヨガ・ジャイロのクラスも企画中
みんなが気軽に遊びに来れるようなスペースになりそうだよ。
「渋谷でプライベートレッスンもいいな」って皆さん、お問い合わせくださいね。

JSDC is going to open a new studio in Shibuya in mid April
It is a small studio expecially for private and semi-private lessons including wedding dance lessons.
We are also planning to open streching exercise, yoga, pirates, and gyro classes for you to stay in shape and of course, dance even more beautifully
It's going to be a casual space for JSDC students to stop by for a cup of coffee anytime.

見つめ合うお二人 The Lovely Couple

仲良しご夫婦KeiさんとShioriさんからお式当日のブライダルダンス披露のお写真が届きました　ゲストの皆さんも喜んでくれてとっても盛り上がった様子が写真からも分かるね　最初は向かい合って踊るのがちょっぴり恥ずかしかったというお二人ですが、レッスンを重ねるにつれてだんだんと見つめあうのにも慣れてかーなーりーラブラブな時を楽しんだ雰囲気　ポーちゃんもお二人のダンスをお式直前のＪＳＤＣクリスマスパーティで見たんだけど・・・あまりに素敵で感動＆感激でいっぱいでした　いつまでもお幸せに～

We received sweet first-dance pictures from Kei and Shiori, who got married last year The photos show how this romantic dance made all the guests feel happy at the party! Shiori and Kei felt a little shy dancing face to face when first started dance lessons, but they found themselves enjoying it as time went by I was lucky enough to watch their first dance demonstration at JSDC christmas party, which was right before their wedding! 子供だってブラックプールへ Kids go to Blackpool too

社交ダンス競技会が開催されることで有名な英国のブラックプール　でもこれ、大人だけじゃないんだ。１２歳以下のペアが出場する子供部門の世界大会は子供ダンサー達が目指す場所でもあります。そんな厳し～い大会を目指すキッズカップル達の１年を追いかけた番組「Strictly Baby Ballroom」が先日英国で放映されたよ。厳しい練習に励む姿は大人も顔負け。あと、競技会は子供の世界でも男の子が少ないみたいで、女の子はパートナー探しが大変みたい。興味深いね。　子供達にはまず心からダンスを楽しんで欲しいな。

Blackpool is a dream place for a lot of competitive ballroom dancers, but it's not strictly for grown-ups It also has the most prestigious major ballroom competition for kids under 12, The British Juvenile Ballroom Championships in Blackpool British TV Channel 4 featured kids ballroom on Feb. 6th under the program title 'Strictly Baby Ballroom'. Those children do practice really hard! Also, it seems that boys are in short supply in the world of baby ballroom, just like adults ... interesting It's a good thing that kids practice hard to win competitions, but I hope they truly ENJOY dancing as well

毎月２９日は埼玉地区の住民だったらいいな～と思うポーちゃん。それは、ＦＭ浦和レッズウェーブでペアダンスの放送があるから 佐藤恵さんがパーソナリティを務める「恵の食卓」（月～金様午前７時から２時間）は大好評の番組なんだけど、社交ダンスの資格を持つこの佐藤さん、毎月２９日はいつもペアダンスの紹介をするのだ そして、１月２９日はアメリカンスタイル社交ダンスの紹介としてＪＳＤＣの特集でした～ このスタイルの楽しさを熟知した佐藤さんならでは温か＆鋭いトークに、埼玉地区の皆さんもアメリカンスタイルに興味を持ってくれたに違いない 放送に当たって、大塚スタジオの皆さんには事前にインタビューにご協力頂き、本当にありがとうございました。皆さんの美声＆メッセージ、たくさんのリスナーに届きました 佐藤さん、スタジオの皆さん、聞いてくれた皆さん、頑張ってレッスンにお越しいただく皆さん、このブログを読んでくださる皆さん、いつもありがとうございます

On the 29th of every month, I always wish I lived in Saitama area. Why? "Megumi's Breakfast"(Mon. thru Fri. 7-9a.m. FM Urawa Reds Wave) one of the popular programs with DJ Megumi Sato, who is a British certified ballroom instructor, features ballroom dancing in her program every month. And in January, JSDC was featured as one of a few American ballroom dancing schools in Japan I'm sure listners in the area became interested in this non-traditional style of dancing, thanks to Megumi's warm talk from a professional point of view Thank you to Megumi, everyone who helped the interviews at Otsuka studio, everyone else at the studio, all the listners, and JSDC blog readers
