Japan Series

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Yesterday, the 6th game of Japan Series Baseball was played
between The Tigers, the champion of the Central League, and
The Buffaloes, the champion of the Pacific League.

The team that wins 4 games in this series will be the champion
of Japan. The Tigers have won 3 games and The Buffaloes have won
2 games so far. If The Tigers win the game, it would be the champion.

However, The Buffaloes never gave up and overcame The Tigers.
Yamamoto who is No.1 pitcher of The Buffaloes, pitched a complete
game. The hitters performed great as well, scoring five points.

Both teams won 3 games each. It’s totally even.
The champion of Japan will be decided with 7th game.

I am looking forward to watching the game this evening.

Culture Day

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Yesterday was a national holiday called ‘Culture Day’.
Since I didn’t know why the day was settled, I checked it
yesterday.

On November 3rd in 1946, the Japanese government promulgated
a new constitution and settled November 3rd as a national holiday.

Japan lost the war in 1945.
The new constitution declares a renunciation of war.
The government named the day ‘Culture Day’ to cherish peace
and culture.

We are happy to live in such a peaceful country now.

TOTO Japan Classic

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Now, TOTO Japan Classic Golf Tournament is being held in Japan.
It is one of the U.S.A. Women’s Golf Tour.

I am cheering for Hinako Shibuno.
She is a member of the U.S.A. Tour, but her condition is not so good
this season. Her current ranking is at 81st,
She needs to stay within the top 80 to qualify for the tournaments
next season.

There are only two tournaments including TOTO this season.
She has to get good results in these two tournaments,

I am going to cheer for her while watching TV this weekend.

Dog’s Day

Hi once again! I'm Jun Tomioka.

Yesterday was November 1st.
Do you know what day it was?
I learned about it from an article on a newspaper.

Apparently, November 1st is Dog’s day.
The day can be written 11-1.
We read it as “Wan Wan Wan”.
Wan is an onomatopoeia for a dog’s bark in Japan.
Therefore, it is Dog’s Day.

The article introduced several services for dogs
such as hotels where we can stay with dogs,
sweets made for dogs, unique clothing for dogs,
and so on.

I have a dog and I love him.
I think it’s good that many services for dogs are available
although I am aware that they can be expensive.

Printing company2

Hi once again! I'm Tomioka Jun.

I mentioned in my blog post from October 25 that I was
looking for a printing company that could make bank slips.

I'm happy to report that I've now found such a business
and have spoken with the person of the company online.

They indicated throughout our conversation that they would
be happy to handle a variety of requests pertaining to events,
such as bank slips, address seals, invitation letters, and envelopes.
The related costs will determine if this is feasible, though.

I've asked the responsible party to send us a range of quotes
so we may review them.

Regardless, I will bring up this issue at the upcoming board meeting.
