Mantis egg sheath

I found a praying mantis egg sheath on the western blind of the dining room.

Come to think of it, there was a big praying mantis a few days ago.

I thought the praying mantis was preyed on because it was the time when spider webs were growing rapidly, but it turned out to be such a big egg.

There are 100 to 300 eggs of 3 to 5mm in the ootheca of 4 cm, and they are born all at once in April and May.

Praying mantis lays eggs from autumn to winter, spends the winter in an egg sheath, and hatches in April or May of the following year.

It turned out that the survival rate of the king of the field, the mantis, is also severe.

On the way back from yesterday's walk, I took home a cosmos blooming in the bushes and put it in a small bottle in the kitchen.

It's the middle of autumn, and the sunny weather continues.

I found a small autumn on my morning walk.

Crows

Twenty-one years ago I bought a country house.

3 Fuyu persimmons, 1 astringent persimmon, 3 yuzu citrus fruits, 3 sansho peppers, and many flowers and trees in the garden and around the house.

I'm alone, and it's getting harder and harder to manage every year.

The garden tree was pruned short this spring.

A persimmon tree can be seen from the east garden after the annual outsourced mowing.

From the kitchen window, I could see three crows poking persimmon nuts. As I approached it flew away.

They know better than anyone when it's time to eat.

I decide to join them using Takaeda scissors.

Izayoi, on the 16th night, the standing moon sets in the western sky.

I wanted to take a big picture of the moon with my smartphone.

When I switched to landscape mode and used the zoom function, it got a little closer to the actual moon.

I'm a little happy. I will continue to challenge the scenery of the sky.

Stove

It was getting cold in the morning and evening, so I put away the cooling fan and took out the stove.

I'm not sure when it came out last year, but it was probably around the time when the amaryllis began to bloom and the room temperature dropped below 20°C.

What kind of winter will l spend this year?

At least I will have a warmer time than last year.
