EU warns against food export bans
EUが食品輸出規制を警告する
1: EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson has warned food producers to avoid a "spiral of protectionism" in the face of soaring prices.
EUのピーター・マンデルソン貿易委員長は、食糧生産者に食料品価格の高騰に直面して、“保護貿易策を加速”させないように警告した。
2: He told MEPs in Brussels that "export taxes, quotas or bans do not make economic or development sense".
彼は、ブルッセルの欧州議会議員、「輸出に課税・制限・禁止を施しても経済的にも発展性にも意味がない」と語った。
3: Mr Mandelson said the best way to respond to rising prices in staple foods was with trade deals.
