エラーバー

R でエラーバーを描くとき plot() をやったあとに arrows() を使っていますが
これが白抜きの □とか○を使うと (pch=0とか1) エラーバーがポイントを突き抜けてしまいます。



これでも良い気もしますが、見栄えなどを考えると
どうせなら突き抜けてないバージョンも欲しいところです。

どうやら pch=21～25（○, □, ◇, △, ▽）のポイントは輪郭の色を col="" で、
中抜きの色を bg="" で指定できるそうな（参照: Quick-R Graphical Parameters）。


というわけで流れとしてはまず

　plot(hoge, pch="") # pch を空にして指定せず、plot したようにみせかける

次に

　arrows(... )

で先にエラーバーだけをプロットする。そして

　points(hoge, pch=21, bg="white") # 中抜きを白色に塗りつぶす！

改めてデータをプロットしてしまえば



こんな感じになります。万歳！
とまぁ、単純にプロットしていく順番を変えただけなのですが（＾＾；


図の見栄え

R の plot() は色々と引数があるが
図の見栄えを良くしようと毎度毎度、設定を行っていると少々面倒。

クイックルックの場合はデフォルトで図を眺めますが
論文とか外部での発表（オーラルやポスター）とか用に
図を出す場合は外枠、軸、目盛線、ラベルなど大きくしたりしたいところである。



こんな図が作れるコードを書いてみた。
plot() の前に par(lwd=3) とかにしておけば概ね太くなってくれるのですが (デフォルトは1)
よく見ると目盛線だけが太くなっていませんw
そこで axis(... , lwd.ticks=3, ...) で軸を描くときに
lwd.ticks も指定すれば目盛線も太くなってくれます（＾＾b

以下、ババッと作ったコードをメモ。
