I'm sorry I couldn't upload diaries for a few days in spite of your visiting my blog.I was busy holding some kinds of event during Bon Festival.
For example, visiting the graves, having some guests and priests to my house.
But I had a good time meeting my relatives whom I hadn't seen for a long time.
It is one of a nice annual events!!

We offer them to the Buddhist altar with other flowers.
Though I don't know whether children nowadays play with it, I played with it, for example, blowing on it in my childhood.

I heard the noisy sound of cicada.
I wondered where the cicada was.
So I came up to the sound.
At last I could see a 'large brown cicada';(a-bu-ra-ze-mi) on the branch of a 'dogwood';(ha-na-mi-zu-ki).
There was a snail beside the cicada.
I took this picture yesterday afternoon in my yard.
The other day I was presented these melons as a Midyear gift .
According to a message in the card, the date of good for eating is around August 8. But I haven't eaten them yet as they are hard and don't smell sweet yet.
I'll eat tomorrow.
They were grown at Furano in Hokkaido famous for lavender .
Color of flesh seems to be orange.

Prime minister 'Jyunichiro Koizumi' who had wanted eagerly to make the bill passed said he would dissolve the House of Representatives if it wasn't pass.
According to his words, he will do so.

Next a space shuttle 'Discovery' comes back to the the earth this evening. In spite of having some problems, they say it's okay in NASA.
I hope it will come back safely.
I went shopping in the morning not to miss these two big news on TV. ＊ Because of the bad weather, the return of 'Discovery' was postponed on the ninth.
