５月１３日の朝日新聞の、声の欄への投稿です。

語学は読み　書き　聞き　話すができて成立する。どれが一番興味がわくかはひとによつて多少の差はあると思いますが

今までは話すということがおろそかにされてきたと思います。

それに話す力をためす試験はいままでになかったのです。

最近はAIを使って会話力をテストできるようになりました。

英検やトーイックは過去に受けてきたので、自分の場合はスピーキング力を伸ばすのが目的です。

B2レベル８より抜け出るのは至難の業だとおもっています。レベル９に行くのが夢です。

 

The foundation of language proficiency lies in the ability to read, write, listen, and speak. While the aspect that sparks the most interest varies from person to person, I believe that speaking has often been neglected until now. Furthermore, there haven't been many tests to assess speaking skills.

Recently, with the use of AI, it has become possible to test conversational abilities. Having previously taken exams like the Eiken or TOEIC, I aim to improve my speaking skills. I believe breaking out of the B2 level is a formidable challenge, but I will do my best.

 

 

 

わがままがチラ！

今朝は気温が低かったですが、一日中風の強い日でした。

シャル君はそれにもまけず調馬策運動をして、そのあと１０分ほど放牧しました。

食欲ももどりお腹の調子もいいみたいです。

おやつはバナナと人参がほんの少しなので、足りないと言って私の腕をあまがみしていました。

ちなみに去年の５月同じ時期５月１１日に疝痛を起こして手当をしてもらいました。

This morning, despite the low temperature, it was a windy day all day long.

Sharu did his conditioning exercise without giving in to the wind, and then he grazed for about 10 minutes.

His appetite has returned and his stomach seems to be feeling better.

For snacks, he only had a little bit of banana and carrot, so he was gnawing at my arm because it wasn't enough.

On May 11 in２０２３　Sharu　had a colic and got a treatment by a vet.

先生を乗せられるまで回復

いつもの柔らかくしたヘイキュウブに獣医さん推薦の飼料をまぜたごはんを食べはじめ、

歯のとがっているところをやすりで丸くして口の中を傷つけないようにしてから、腸の状態がとてもよくなりました。

木曜日は気温が１８度と低くシャル君は元気で、久しぶりに先生の乗り運動ができました。

このまま元気になってほしいです。

Sharu started eating a mix of his usual softened hay cubes and veterinarian-recommended feed, which has greatly improved his intestinal condition. By rounding off the sharp edges of his teeth with a file to prevent mouth injuries, he's doing much better. With Thursday's temperature dropping to 18 degrees, Sharu was lively enough to   exercise with the teacher , a rare occurrence lately. I hope he continues to recover well.

じょじょに回復

5月６日にCさんより送っていただいた写真です。

食欲も回復しおなかの調子もよさそうです。

昨日行ったときシャル君の顔を見て安心しましたが、まだ油断は禁物です。

クラブで先生たちには親身な看病をしていただいています。もし何か原因が他にも考えられる場合もあるので

血液やエコー検査もやってもらいました。結果はまだです。

It seems that appetite has returned and Sharu-kun's stomach condition is also good.

I felt relieved when I saw Sharu-kun's face yesterday, but it's still important not to let our guard down.

The teachers at the club are kindly taking care of him. We also had blood and ultrasound tests done just in case there might be other possible causes. We're still waiting for the results.

継続は力なり

朝、オンライン英会話のあとスピーキングテストを受けました。

結果、ワンランクアップしていました。

何年も続けているオンライン英会話　そして毎月のように受け続けたスペーキングテストでしたが、似たような結果に果たして上達しているかと不安な気持ちがありました。でもAIは気持ちをくむこともなく判断します。

 

シャル君の体調が悪く気持ちが沈みがちな時も、欠かさず続けた甲斐がありました。

馬の競技会に参加する場合でも、ワンランク上を目指すとそれなりの努力がいります。

英語は一人でできますが、馬の場合はパｰトナーの馬の存在が大きく影響します。そこは大きく異なりますが。

でも何事もあきらめず継続することです。

 

シャル君も今は老後をゆっくりすごしています。

In the morning, after my online English conversation session, I took a speaking test. As a result, I had moved up a level. Despite years of continuous online English conversation practice and monthly speaking tests, I felt uncertain about whether I was actually improving, as the results seemed similar each time. However, AI makes judgments without empathizing with feelings.

Even during times when Sharu was feeling down due to poor health, continuing without fail proved to be worthwhile. Just as aiming for a higher level in horse competitions requires considerable effort, while English can be practiced alone, the presence of a partner horse significantly influences outcomes in the case of horses. This aspect differs greatly. Nonetheless, the key is to never give up and to persist.

Sharu is now enjoying a leisurely retirement.
