”白人”が”黒人”を演じたりするのは、そうやって”黒人”をからかった歴史・伝統のある国では非常に敏感な問題である。それと同様な問題があるか、というもの。
”黒人”を演じるのに”黒人”でなくては駄目、というのなら殺人者を演じるのは殺人者じゃなくちゃだめ、ということかい？と。”白人”ばかり登用されるという問題はあるものの、役者というものはそもそも演技するのが商売であって、誰がインディアン役、”黒人”役、”白人”役を演じてもいいではないか、という含意だろう、と思う。

差別とは制度的に相対的権力者側から弱者に対してなされるものであり、”黒人”は弱者の側に立つから、”黒人”が人種差別主義者になることはなく、また、弱者がときに権力者に対して人種差別的であることは自己評価を高めることにもなるので、正当化される、とするむきもあるが、しかし、当該状況で加害者は強者の立場にたち、その力を使って、脅迫しており、かつ、また、「偉大なる褐色人」などと言わせて土下座させているので、やはりこれは人種差別的行為であろう、と。
論者は”黒人”。非常にフェアである。

These debates over casting go directly to the question of what drama is. The media reaction can easily be imagined if the RSC were to announce that, in future, only murderers would be cast as Macbeth, while revivals of Richard III will be led solely by medically authenticated hunchbacks. Acting is about transformation; cinema and theatre are a conspiracy of deceit for a few hours.
The first issue is employment opportunity: with the majority of parts still being written for and given to white actors, the inequality increases if they also co-opt Othello and Tonto. Another worry is that, because of the minstrel tradition, there is something implicitly satirical or artificial in cross-casting.

Imagine the BBC commissioning a new television series composed of the following elements: a rich Middle-Eastern billionaire who owns the busiest airport in the country, but who is so mean and stingy that you have to pay to access the safety equipment; an Asian man (with a beard, of course) who attempts to enter the country using the passport of a white teenage girl (which the white, racist and xenophobic immigration officer allows); a middle-aged black woman played yet again by a "blacked-up" white man, who utters "Praise the Lord" at the end of every sentence, is too lazy to run her coffee shop and who spends her time shopping for cheap bargains at the airport; two Japanese schoolgirls – you guessed it right, white men with modified eyelids, eyebrows and lip-curves – waiting anxiously at the airport for an ostensibly minor celebrity's autograph and photos; and of course, the token sexist Muslim who, in his inability to talk in complete sentences, calls every female "a bitch" and sexualises anything in a skirt.

But I would emphatically question the taste, or lack thereof, employed in the writing and making of such shows. Tastelessness in comedy has become somewhat endemic, especially among the comedians who, having been schooled in a predominantly male (and yes, white) terrain, still think casual homophobia and racism are funny.

During the programme, and referring to the war in Afghanistan, Boyle said: "Basically, we are murdering a load of shepherds. What gets me is our callousness as a society when we read out our dead on the news first, because our lives are more important. Other people's aren't worth as much."
He then adopted a newsreader's tone, saying: "A bomb went off in Kandahar today, killing two British servicemen, three UN relief workers and a whole bunch of Pakis."
The comic said later: "The Ministry of Defence? At least in the old days we were honest, it was the Ministry of War. 'Hello Ministry of War, department of nigger bombing, how can I help?'"

I have a friend who agrees with some like Spike Lee who say black people cannot be racist toward whites because they do not have the institutional power.
My friend’s position is summed up by blogger David Schraud, a University of Chicago law school student:
“Everyone agrees they can be prejudiced, but the argument is that racism is a power relation … racism cannot be separated from racist histories ― that is, racism draws upon past inequalities to justify and rectify present ones. Since blacks are not and were not in a position of power in America’s racial scheme, they cannot cause racially disparate effects and thus cannot be racist.”
Lawrence Blum, in his book “I’m not a Racist, But…The Moral Quandary of Race,” took up this issue and others, noting that some believe that “racism requires the possession of social power, that in a white-dominated society like the United States, only whites have that power, and hence are the only group that can be racist.”
Mr. Blum also noted that there are scholars who have suggested that “it might sometimes be of value, and in any case justified, for the racially victimized to be racist toward, though not physically harm, their victimizers.”
The suggestion seems to be that it would help the self-esteem of the racially victimized to occasionally be racist themselves.
I do not buy any of these arguments. I believe anyone who acts on the belief that his or her race affords him or her an inherent superiority over another race is a racist.
White friends of Mr. Byfield, who have known him since their junior high school days, say he is not racist.
I have never met the man. I can only say this: For a few minutes in that video, he had the power over another individual, and he used that power to intimidate, rob and pummel that person. That was cold-blooded in itself.
But Mr. Byfield also exulted in forcing the victim to bow down to the power of the “…brown dude,” and intended or not, that is a racist act.

テキサス・レンジャーズの建山義紀投手（３５）との不倫疑惑が一部週刊誌で報じられた「ＮＨＫニュース７」のお天気キャスター、半井小絵（３８）が２３日、所属事務所の公式ＨＰでコメントを発表し、改めて報道を否定した。
やっぱり！！！
