朝日でも読売でも誤訳していて、しかも、真逆の意味にとっていたのは痛い。




その通りだろうね。


自分も実力がないのに、誤訳を指摘するのは心苦しい。自分も誤解や誤読は数知れないからである。

ただ、最近のは、昔でいう大学受験レベルじゃないかな、とも思える。

大学受験レベルの英語といっても、おれは、その昔英語が得意じゃなかったほうで、高校時代は、試験前に、英文法の薄い教科書の例文丸暗記していた程度なんだけど・・・。

マスコミ入社して、英語を翻訳する担当につくんだから、もう少しできても良さそうなものなのに、とは思うわなああ。

学生のころ、心理学だが、犯罪学の講義をとっていた先輩がいて、そのひとが、「頭の悪いやつのほうが犯罪犯す率高いんだいんだけど、頭のいいやつは犯罪犯しても、頭いいから捕まらないんだ」とか言っているのを聞いて、面白いな、と思ったことがある。

自己申告で、IQが高い人達のほうが犯罪率が高い、という調査結果もあるが、いずれにせよ、IQが低い人は、阿呆だから、捕まりやすいんじゃないか、と。

女性のためにドアを開けてやったり、席をたってやったりするのが、かえって女性差別だというのは、おれが若い頃から言われていた。

つまり、うん十年前からだな。
