Ne-zu-mi-mo-chi

The tree of this picture is 'ne-zu-mi-mo-chi'.

The leaves are ever green all the year round.

'Sprigs of the sacred tree'; (ta-ma-gu-shi) made from 'sa-ka-ki' are offered before the alter when the wedding ceremony or funeral service, etc. are held.

But this tree isn't used for like that though it's like 'sa-ka-ki plant.

Now the black seeds can be seen at the top of the twigs.
They are like mouse droppings!

Cat drinking water.

This 19 year-old cat named Yuki has a strange habit of drinking water.

Though there are lots of water in her bowl, she prefers drinking water running from the faucet.
So we must turn on and off the faucet many times a day for her!



She catches no mice or rats now.
