These are rice plant after harvesting.

Nowadays the greater part of rice plants is cut into pieces and scatterd on the rice field.
But some are kept and dried to feed cows.

So the dairy farmers are now busy in making hay.

Scallion

These are 'scallon or spring onion'; 'ra-kkyo-u'

　　These are flowers of them.

　　We eat the bulbs of this plant.
　　Pickled ones are good to eat.
　　Though they smell a little,
　　we usually eat with 'curry and rice.'

　　It is also good for our health.
