今日はいよいよソーラシステムの据え付けです
まず昨日掘った穴にポールを立てて周囲に石を詰めて土を埋め戻します
そのときに垂直に立てるために2個の水準器をポールの横に取り付けて、正確に垂直になるようにします
その後にポールの上にソーラパネルを取り付けますが、パネルの重量が鉄製のフレームと合わせて約100㎏ありますので、屈強な男が5人がかりで持ち上げて設置しました
最後に北向きに約10度の角度をつけて固定しました
ここは南緯約8度ですので赤道は北側にあり、太陽は真上から約10度北側に寄っています
これでソーラパネルが最も効率的に発電をできるわけです
実際にソーラパネルから冷蔵庫に接続して動作を確認します
接続後約30分で庫内温度は外気温よりも10度ぐらい低くなりましたが、製氷できるまでには24時間かかるということですので、今日はこのまま放置します
午後からは初日と二日目で修理した旧型冷蔵庫の修理報告会が行われ、4台の旧型が使用可能な状態になっていることが確認されました
Today we installed the new solar system.
The first we stood the pole exact vertically in the hole that we dug yesterday.
To make sure the exact vertical we used the spirit levels on the pole.
When we put the panel of about 100kg on the pole five strong boys lifted up the panel and put it on top.
Finally we adjusted the panel face to 10 degrees north and fixed.
Solomon Islands is located on the 8 degrees of southern latitude and the Sun is about 10 degrees shifted to the north from the right above.
It was the most effective angle for the solar generation.
After then connected the solar output to the refrigerator and checked the performance.
About 30 minutes later the temperature of the store room went down about 10 degrees below the outside air.
However it takes about 24 hours to reach to the freezing temperature and we left it today.
In the afternoon the report meeting was held about the old type refrigerators that we fixed on the first and second day.
All of four old type were confirmed that they were fixed and able to use.
