今日午後4時ごろからホニアラ市内は久しぶりにちょっとしたお湿りがありました
しかし残念ながらレインタンクを満足させるだけの量はありませんでした
約30分後に薄陽が差して東の空にくっきりと虹が見えました
この虹をよくみるともう一つ外側に大きな虹が薄くかかっています
ここから話がややこしくなりますが、内側の虹は外側から赤、橙、黄・・・・の順に色が分かれていますが、外側の虹は何と色が逆なのです
内側から赤、橙、黄・・・の順です
不思議に思って考えたのですが、そもそも虹の発現機序をよく理解していない私には解明できる訳もありません
思いつくキーワードは「水滴」、「屈折」、「プリズム」、「波長」ぐらいでしょうか
そのあとネットで虹の色について検索してみたところ、ありました
2重の虹が存在すること、そしてその二つは色の順番が逆であることが記述されています
さらに色が逆になることの理由も明快に説明されていました
う～ん、深い！！

Today around 4 PM it was little rain since long days ago in Honiara.
However unfortunately it was not enough to fulfill the rain tank.
After 30 minutes the rainbow had appeared on the East sky.
Watching this rainbow carefully there was another light rainbow at the outside.
The story is going to be complicated from this point.
The inner rainbow arrayed in order to red, orange, yellow….from the outside.
But the outer one arrayed invert to the inner one.
I wonder and thought the reason of this phenomenon but it was not possible for me because I didn’t understand the mechanism of the rainbow appearance.
I could image only the keyword of “vapor”, “refraction”, “prism” and “wave length” that’s all.
After then I checked the internet and found the good answer.
It described about the double rainbow, different color order and the reason of invert too.
Mmmmm! It’s so deep!
