秋深し It's Deep Autmun

つい先週までは「秋深し」という感じでしたが、今朝は出かけるときにすれ違う中学生の息が白くなっているのに気がつきました

でも何故か私の息はほとんど白く見えません

はて？

ここから先は想像ですが、私は歩き始めて1分程度ですが、彼らの目的地の中学校はあと100mほどです。

つまり彼らは運動によって体温が上がり、呼気の温度が高くなっているため、大気温度との差が大きくて白く見えやすいのですが、私は歩き始めたばかりでまだ呼気の温度が上がっていないせいではなかろうか？

それとも歳のせいで若者よりも体温が低い？などと考えましたが、約10分歩いて駅の近くまできた時には、私の息も白く見えたのでちょっと安心しました

 

Until last week, I had been felt it was deep autumn.

However this morning I realized that the breathings of the junior high school students walking toward me were making the white vapor.

But my breathing didn’t make it. Why?

This is my guess that I just started to walk and the school of their destination was only another 100m.

So their body temperature were coming up by their walk exercise and it made their breath white.

But my exercise was not enough to make the temperature increase.

Or I thought my temperature was lower than young people because of my age.

But about 10 minutes later when I reached to the station it seemed white too and I was little bit relieved about it.

面白い花たち Funny Flowers

うちの近所にニットク・エンジニアリングという会社があります

何をしている会社かよくわかりませんが、おそらく特殊な技術を売り物にして業績を上げている会社のように見えます

ときどき外国からのバイヤーとおぼしき方も出入りしているようです

その会社のエントランスに小さなプランターがあり、今朝そこで面白い花を発見して、思わずカメラに収めました

名前はわかりませんが、何故か二つの花がペアになって咲いていて、ちょっと雛人形を思わせるものです

これを見て2004年に訪れたオーストリアで見かけて写真に収めたバレリーナのような花を思い出し、古いファイルを探したところ有りました

面白い花があるものですね

There is a company named Nittoku Engineering very close to my house.

I don’t know what the company does but probably they are getting good business with something special expertise.

Sometimes I saw the foreigners who seemed the buyer from the abroad.

At the entrance of this company there are several flower planters and I found very fanny flowers there in this morning.

They were blooming as a pair. I have no idea about the name of this flower but they seemed like a pair of Japanese traditional dolls.

I took several pictures of them and reminded another flower looked like ballet dancers that I saw in Austria in 2004.

I looked for the old album file and found it.

There are many kind of funny flowers.

 

応募書類発送 Send the Application

今日から11月です

会社からの帰りに郵便局に立ち寄って、郵便物を出しました

平成24年度秋JICAのシニアボランティア募集の応募書類です

そう、今年の6月に帰国して、もう行かないと決心したのですが、実はこの秋の募集を見て心が揺れ、家族や会社に相談した上で、もう一度挑戦することにしました

不合格になる要素があるとすれば、健康診断の結果でしょうか

とくに2010年の前回派遣時に比べて、悪くなっていることはありませんが、JICAの顧問医が、不適当と判断すればアウトです

今回の募集から、語学力の評価が若干変わり、事前に権威のある語学試験のスコアを提出することになり、そのスコアが基準を満たせば、事前訓練を免除されます

さらにもう一つ、2年以内に今回の応募と同じ言語地域に派遣されていると、これも免除の対象となります

というわけで、10月に試験を受けて一応要請の語学レベルはクリアすることができましたので、事前訓練には参加しなくてもいいようです。

採用されれば来年の9月から2年間フィジーの病院で勤務することになります

当然8月に就職したばかりの会社には迷惑をかけることになりますが、それまで少しでも会社の業績に貢献できればと思っています

 

The November has started today.

I went to the post office and sent an envelope to JICA this evening on the way to home.

It was the application form of the Senior Volunteer Program of the autumn this year.

Yes, I decided to apply again in spite of that once I decided not to apply anymore when I came back from Solomon Islands in June this year.

But when I saw the detail of advertisement of JICA last month, my heart had wavered.

After consulting with my family and the company, I decided to challenge once more.

If there is possibility to fail it must be my health.

There is not any worse than previous application but it depends on the advisor doctor’s judge.

JICA changed the mind for the language criterion of the candidate this time.

We have to submit the official score of the authorized system like TOEIC previously.

I received the examination last month and got a better score of the requirement to exempt the language training.

Also If the candidate had dispatched to the same language area within two years it will be exempt.

If it will be realized I will be attached to the hospital in Fiji on September next year.

Of course it must be troublesome for the company that I joined only three months ago.

I will do my best to contribute for the company until the day of dispatch.
