ミャンマー郵便事情 Post Mail System in Myanmar

ミャンマーには郵便配達制度がありません

したがって、郵便物が届いたときは郵便局まで自分で取りに行きます

例えば私宛の郵便物は日本大使館の私書箱に届き、JICAのミャンマー事務所を経由して、私の手元に届きますので、私は定期的にJICA事務所にあるメールボックスをチェックすればいいわけです

ところが郵便物を発送するのは日本と同じで街中にポストがあり、そこに投函すると集配係が集めて持って行きます

There is no mail delivery system in Myanmar.

Therefore when we receive the post mail we have to go to the post office to receive it.

For example the mail sent to me, it arrives to the PO. Box of the Japanese Embassy and it will be forwarded to the JICA Myanmar office then I can receive it to check the mail box in JICA office periodically.

But sending the the mail, it is same as Japan, we can through it into the post in the town and collector will bring it to the post office.

びっくり中国製コピー商品 Surprising Copy Product from China

先日報告したネブライザーの持ち込み修理の件ですが、この製品は見かけ上かなり新しく、本体に使用者が書いた記録によると、2012年10月2日とありますので、やはり比較的新しい物のようです

メーカーに交換部品を要求しようと思い、連絡先を探しました

しかし驚いたことに製造元は書かれておらず、販売元として東京のエリート・コーポレイションという名前が書いてあります

これをウェブサイトで探しても見つからず、本体裏のプレートを見ると

ELITE CORPORATION, 585-77 SHINJU-KU, CHOU-KU-AMA 50031, SAITAMA CITY, TOKYO JAPAN

と書かれています。これを解読することは不可能で、登場する数字の意味もわかりません

新宿区、さいたま市、東京都、日本という単語が読み取れますが、これと内部に使われているモーターには上海と中華という文字が見えます

すなわち、この器械は中国製のコピー商品ということになりそうです

Eliteという名前で画像検索したところ、オランダのPhilips社に外観がそっくりでEliteという名称のネブライザーが見つかりました

そういえば10年ほど前にPhilips社は北京郊外に工場を作りましたが、2008年ごろに撤退したと聞いています

医療機械の分野でさえ、このような日本製と偽った中国製コピー商品がはびこっているとは、驚きです

Regarding the nebulizer I reported the other day, it seems quite new and the date which was written by the user was Oct, 2^nd 20013.

I had looked for the manufacturer to ask the spare parts through the web site but not found.

I checked the name plate and surprisingly the manufacturer’s name was not on the plate and only the distributor was shown as;

ELITE CORPORATION, 585-77 SHINJU-KU, CHOU-KU-AMA 50031, SAITAMA CITY, TOKYO JAPAN

It is not possible to decipher it because it is out of the Japanese rule of address.

The numbers in the address don’t make a sense.

But we can identify the word of Shinjuku, Saitama City, Tokyo Japan and all of them are real city name in Japan but they are different place.

Also on the motor inside the name of Shanghai and China are found.

It means that this equipment is the copied product in China.

I looked for the images of “Elite Nebulizer” through the web and found a very similar image of Philips product from the Netherlands.

I remember that I heard Philips made the factory in the suburbs of Beijing in the early 2000 but they had already withdrawn in 2008.

It is surprising that even in the field of medical equipment industry, such a copy product using the false name as made in Japan but actually made in China is growing in the developing countries.

ミャンマー自動車事情 Car Situation in Myanmar

ミャンマーの車は95％以上が日本から輸入された中古車で、最近街でホンダのインサイトというハイブリッドカーをよく目にします

残りの5％には、メルセデスやBMWなどの欧州車と、インドのタタと中国のチェリーなどが含まれます

今朝は私のオフィスの横の職員駐車場に9台駐車している中で、3台がインサイトです

あとはホンダのフィットとトヨタのヴィッツなどです

ちょっと前までは大きな四駆のニッサン・サファリとかトヨタ・ランクルを持つことがステイタスだったようですが、この国もガソリン価格の高騰で特にエコノミーカーに人気が移ってきたようです

同じハイブリッドで日本国内ではダントツのトヨタプリウスやアクアは今のところ1台も入っていないようです

日本の中古車オークションサイトを見るとインサイトは殆ど出品されませんが、ここにはかなり高い確率で輸入されているようです

現在ミャンマーの車市場は100％日本からの中古車で、新車は一部の政府機関やJICAなどの外国政府関連機関のみが輸入可能なようです

中古車といえども輸入のレギュレーションが厳しく、原則初年度登録から5年以内に限定されています

私のアパートの隣にある中古車マーケットには数百台の車がありますが、年式から考えると、ほとんど5年以上10年以内と思われ、輸入手続き上で何かトリックがあるようです

一番手前と奥から2番目の黒い車がインサイト（所有者の医師は2012年式と言っていました）

95% of Vehicles in Myanmar are second hand cars imported from Japan and recently I often see the hybrid vehicle Honda Insight in the town.

Other 5% includes European cars such as Mercedes and BMW, Tata from India and Cherry from China.

This morning 9 cars are parked at the side of my office and 3 of them are Insight.

To have the big 4WD vehicles such as Nissan Safari or Toyota Land Cruiser had been the status symbol at only one or two years ago, but the economic cars become popular in recent years by the reason of increasing the fuel price.

Same hybrid vehicle such as Toyota Prius and Aqua most popular in Japan are not imported at all.

Watching the auction site in Japan, Honda Insight is sold very few but it is very high rate imported to this country.

Now the car market in this country is 100% second hand cars from Japan and brand new cars are permitted only for a part of Government and foreign Government facilities.

Even the second hand the import regulations are very strict and it is limited within 5 years from the first year registration.

However at the car market which is located at the next to my apartment, most of the sold cars seem over 5years less than 10years.

There must be something trick for the importing process.

 

リス発見 Found a Squirrel

帰宅途中に大きな木の下を通りますが、木の名前はわかりません

4時に病院を出て、間もなくその木の下を通ると、根元にリスがいます

前にも一度同じ場所で見かけたのですが、はっきりとリスとは認識しませんでしたが、今回は明らかにリスでした

カメラを取り出して、電源を入れ使える状態になるのに約5秒ぐらいでしょうか、あっという間に木に登って姿を消してしまいました

逃げた方に向けて何枚かシャッターを切って、あとで拡大してみたら、どうもそれらしいものが写っています

真ん中の縦に伸びた枝の後ろ側に顔と身体の一部が見えるのがわかるでしょうか？

あと3秒早ければきっと姿をとらえられたと思いますので、これからはその木の近くに行ったらカメラを取り出して、電源を入れた状態で通ることにします

I walk under the big tree every day to home but it is not sure the name of the tree.

I left hospital at four PM and soon after I walked there and found a squirrel under the tree.

Once I saw it before but it wasn’t sure, today I recognize it a squirrel sure.

It took about 5 seconds to take out my camera and power on, it climbed away on the tree.

I pushed the shutter switch several times to the direction of it disappeared.

I magnified and checked image later and found seems a squirrel.

You can find a part of face and body behind the vertical branch on the center of photo.

If it were 3 seconds earlier, I could capture the whole shape.

I will take out my camera and stand by when I walk there next time.

ドライカレー Dry Curry

最後に作ったのはたぶん3年ぐらい前です

レシピノートを日本においてきたので、今回はすべて直感でやってみました

役者は牛ひき肉、野菜（タマネギ、ニンジン、ジャガイモ、レンコン）をそれぞれ5～7mm角に刻みます

まずニンニクとショウガでひき肉を炒めます

そこへ刻んだ野菜を投入して一緒に炒め、途中で固形スープとトマトソースを一瓶ちかくたっぷりと入れます

トマトジュースがあればそれを加えてもOK

野菜に火が通ったころに、カレーパウダーを適当に入れて、味を見ながら調整します

最後の役者はドライレーズンです

今回使ったのは大きな巨峰だったので、小さく刻んで入れました

この状態でしばらく蓋をして煮た後、今度は蓋をとって煮詰めます

水分が十分に飛んだらそれで完成です

皿に盛ったご飯の真上に乗せていただきます

直感だけで作った割には美味しく出来上がりました

レンコンを入れた理由は、シャキシャキ感を出したかったためで、本来はセロリを使いますが、この国でセロリを見たことがないので、代役で出演してもらいました

Probably I cooked this last time was about three years ago.

I left my recipe book in Japan and today I tried only by my inspiration.

Main cast is minced beef and vegetables (onion, carrot, potato and lotus rout) chopped in 5 to 8mm cube.

The first fry the minced beef with minced garlic and ginger together.

Put the chopped vegetables with soup stock and rich tomato sauce.

If the tomato juice available it will be good to add it.

Add the curry powder of proper amount with taste and adjust.

The final cast is the dried raison.

I used big one and chopped it previously.

Heat a while with a top, then remove the top and make it dry.

When it becomes dry enough it’s completed.
