A ten year old girl's dream comes true! This morning Miya was featured on Miyagi TV news about the opening of Matsunami Park / Playground in Ishinomaki yesterday!
Three years ago, when she was just seven, Miya had this dream to help the children in Ishinomaki where the tsunami destroyed many of the city's playgrounds. (Miya's grandparents were from Ishinomaki.) Her family has worked tirelessly for the past three years to see her dream become a reality!
Many people / groups / companies worked together to make it happen, including major sponsors Ishinomaki Playground Project, J.P. Morgan and Grateful Crane Ensemble and coordination by Playground of Hope!
