しかし。名場面やキャラ設定や曲などに気を取られ。英語をなおざり（おざなり？？）にしていました。

sustainがstainと聞こえていたのを長年放置していたことに気がつきました。ああいうのをstainというのだろうと思っていました。
bloke（たぶん）は、機械字幕（自動字幕？）も聞き取れていない模様。（さすがにblogじゃないよねー。）

LとRに加えて。最初に子音で始まる語の最初の子音が聞き取れないことが多い。presumeをresumeとか。disguseをguidesとか。
モスキート音のように、加齢によるものだとするともはや手遅れ、と思っていましたが。
若い頃も同じ聞き取り間違いをしていたことを思い出したので、おそらく別な問題。

Wayne's Worldは2でイギリスに行ったし、Spinal Tapは妙なイギリス英語を話しますが。
英語を学んだ最初はアメリカ。イギリス音楽もアメリカ経由。

アメリカで買ってきたDVDのことを思い出したら。
アメリカで絶大な人気を誇るLed Zeppelin、Pink Floydとか、イギリスっぽい感じのStanley Kubrickの映画とか。
アメリカものはThe Simpsonsの初期のシリーズとRHCPくらいでしたー。

DVD取っておけばよかった。YouTubeがこんなことになるなんてー。

Wayne's WorldとWayne's World2は人生で一番繰り返し見た映画だと思う。
なんども繰り返し見た理由は、聞き取れなかったから。最初はジョークもよくわからなかったです。

こういうときに頼りになったのが例文の多かったLEXCOなのですが。返す返す残念。
