I saw beutiful cherry blossoms reflected in the pond.

Some of the petals were floating on the surface of the water.

The scenery was beautiful as if I were in a dream.

Flowers of weeds

Grasses are growing day by day.
We see various kinds of grasses or weeds around my house.
I took these pictures today.

Itching around the eyes

I hear that there is quite a lot of cryptomeria pollens this year and great many people are getting hay fever.

I'm not sure I'm also getting it or not but around my eyes are itching and become red these days.
So yesterday I went to a pharmacy and asked about my symptoms.
The pharmacist at the store said that it might be a kind of allergic dermatitis and sold me a itchy stop of ointment with tube.
Painting it, my eyes become cool as menthol is included in the element.

Today my right eye seems to be better than yesterday though around the left eye is still red and itchy.

The more it grows old, the more the person seems to get more sicknesses.!!

A beautiful book

I bought this book written by Keiko Yanagisawa who is one of the greatest life scientists in Japan.

The title is 'Wisdom to live and to die;(i-ki-te shi-nu-chi-e)'.

The content of the book is the one that 'Ha-n-nya shi-n-gyo-u' is translated into the present age word by a scientific interpretation.

In addition, it is translated into English by Hideo Riibi.
I have never seen Ha-n-nya shi-n-gyo-u in English before.

There are some wonderful pictures painted by Fumiko Hori among the pages too.



A few years ago, I read a book by Sachiya Hiro whose title was 'Bu-kkyo-u wo i-ki-ru 1'.
Reading the book, I learned that 'Ha-n-nya shi-n-gyo-u' was one of the greatest wisdom for man.
I have been its fan since then.

I knew this book in the newspaper ad the other day.
And for that reason, it caught my eyes.

The number of pages aren't so many, so I could read through it soon.
But I can't understand what the writer is saying very well.
Because it is philosophical, so it is too difficult to understand.

But I think it is a good book!!

This is a cyberphone called 'Skype' that my son sent to us yesterday.

It is a kind of IP-phone which allows us to use telephone free of charge.
We can call long without worrying about charge.

The name of this product is 'livedoor-skype USB CyberphoneK'.
As you know 'Livedoor' is a company famous for Ho-ri-e-mo-n.
I didn't know the company is selling a product like this.

Anyone using computer can set up this phone.

The world has been changed very fast!!

A day trip to kyoto

Yesterday I went to Kyoto with my friends.

First we went to A-ra-shi-ya-ma.
Next to Te-n-ryu-u-ji which is specified for the world cultural heritage and last we went to He-i-an ji-n-gu-u.

The cherry blossoms were very beautiful and gorgeous everywhere we went.

The Japanese-style garden of the temples and the shrines are so excellent that I was moved very much.
They must be very beautiful in each season, especially in fall.

We went to Kyoto terminal by Shi-n-ka-n-se-n;(Nozomi) and in Kyoto, we used trains, a bus and our feet fully to get to each place.
The number of people comming to see full-bloomed cherry blossoms were so great.
Besides the temperature was so high yesterday, so I was tired so much.

In spite of them, I enjoyed the trip very much seeing the nice scenery and taking many pictures of beautiful cherry blossoms.

　It's fine and warm.

The cherry blossoms at a shrine near my house are also full-bloomed.

According to the weather forecast, it will rain tomorrow.
So I took pictures of them before they scatter.

Good idea!!

Do you know what this is?

Farmers are hanging dried rice plants orderly.

Looking at carefully, I could see greens downward of them.
The green plants seem to be pea saplings.
The tendrils of their vines will go up in the rice plants.

It is a good idea, isn't it?

And do you know what the black one is?

They are vinyl covering.
Ground is covered so that the soil should not attach to the strawberry.
In May we will be able to eat delicious strawberries.

Out of sight, out of mind.

There are lots of meetings and separations, especially in March and April in Japan.

It is natural to forget the person who isn't near and become friends with the one who is in front of us.
But I also want to value the persons who is far away as much as possible.

May 5 is the Childern's day.

Those who have little boys put on carp streamers wishing the childresn's healthy growth.
It is put up till that day.

These carp streamers are swimming comfortably in the air.

A dog in neighboring house

This dog is kept in a house next door.

Though it is very big, it is gentle.
I suppose the kind of this dog is 'Siberian husky'.
It is called 'shu-u-cha-n'.
After walking, it bathes his forepaws in water of a bucket in summer.
It seems sensitive to heat as it is the dog in the north like the name.

They had been keeping four different kinds of dogs before, but now this is the only one left now as the others have died one after another.

So it is loved very much by his family .

These flowers of camellia are bloooming beatifully now.

The taste of spring

I was presented these bamboo shoots today.

They are in season from now and begin to appear on the store.

We make tempra, wakatake-soup, boiled food, bud dressing and so on.
They can be used for Chinese cuicine too.

They are said to be well-nourished food.
There are much protein, dietary fiber and the vitamins, etc.

So they are good for our health and beauty!!
