Wine

2004-09-07 | food

I make it a rule to drink wine before supper as aperitif. It seems good for our health.
I don't drink so much; about one-fifth of the glass.

Recently I bought these bottles of wine by MITSUKOSHI on- line shopping.
As they were very cheap; about 500 a bottle, I bought six red ones and white ones each.

It will take for a long time to drink all of them.

The names of the wine are
Red one is 'CHATEAU PRINCE NOIR 2002' Bordaux
White one is 'CHATEAU La GRANGEOTTE COUSTAU 2002’ Bordeaux

Well, well !

2004-09-06 | e-trade
Today the price of the stocks are high a little.

The total sum of my money managed to become plus minus zero.
It's been minus for a long time.

I hope it will be plus a lot from now.
In my plan, it will be 150% at the end of this year.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched !!, is a lesson for me.

The flowers are 'zinnia', 'hya-ku-ni-ti-so-u' in Japanese.

Code roe

2004-09-04 | food

I was presented these 'cod roe' by my friend.

We call them 'ta-ra-ko' or 'me-n-ta-i-ko' or 'ka-ra-shi-me-n-tai'.

This is one of the special products of Hakata in Fukuoka prefecture.

Eaten with a bawl of boiled hot rice or 'Japanese sa-ke', It is very good.

I feel like eating them with hot rice.

Visiting my friend

2004-09-03 | diary

Yesterday I visited my friend to look at a new house built by the family of her daughter .
It stands next to my friend's house.
It is big and full of the sense of the young man.

From now on, she and her daughter's families will live together merrily.

I took the picture of this flower at her garden, but we don't know the name of it.
Though my friend said it might be 'fu-yo', 'rose mallow' in English, I'm not sure.
It looks like 'hibiscus' too.

Saury

2004-09-03 | food

Yesterday I bought these saury as they looked very tasty.

It is said that fishermen can catch a large amount of saury this fall and they are very big now.
Big saury are fatty, so they taste good.

We ate as supper after roasted them.

They bring fall to us, too.

Bizen-Yaki

2004-09-02 | pottery, porcelain
This flower vase is a 'Bizen-yaki' made by the young man in Ta-ke-no-ko-mu-ra.

In Takenoko mura ('Bamboo Shoot Village' in English) , some handicapped men live together to be independent.
They grow vegitables, raise chickens and goats and so on.
They are self supporting.

Besides they learned the way to making potteries and are making Bizen Yaki now.
Their works are thought highly.

Now they sell their works at their shop in Kurashiki.
