今日のフランス語は聖書の中の旧約聖書にあるヨハネから題材をとりました。フランス語聖書から抜粋した箇所です。
Jean 15:12-13 ヨハネ15章１２－１３
12 Voici quel est mon commandement: aimez-vous les uns les autres comme moi-même je vous ai aimés.
13 Il n'y a pas de plus grand amour que de donner sa vie pour ses amis.
最初はまず単語の確認です。使用する辞書はhttp://www.wordreference.com/enfr/
Voici=here is
quel=which, what,
est=is
mon=my
commandement=英語も同じ、=leadership, command,
aimez=love
vous= you （aimez-vous=do you love=you love)
les=上記の辞書では個別の意味が表示されませんでしたが,theだという事を念頭に置きまして、
uns=one, a, an
autres=another, alternative, other, different
comme=like, just as, just like, as well as, and, and ... alike
moi-même=myself, as for me, for my part,
je =I
ai =have
aimés love, be in love with、
ここで英文に変換します。
Here is which is my commandment: you love (les) one (les) another like I myself loved you.
私の命令はこれである。：あなた方は私があなた方を愛したように互いに愛し合いなさい。
次は13節ですが、単語はここに書きませんが、以下のように英文に置き換えます。plus grand amour que = bigger love thanと同じです。
13 Il n'y a pas de plus grand amour que de donner sa vie pour ses amis.
There is not such a bigger love than giving his life for his friends.
人がその友のために命を捨てるより大きな愛はない。
最後に新改訳聖書から抜粋します。
12 わたしがあなたがたを愛したように、あなたがたも互いに愛し合うこと、これがわたしの戒めです。
13 人がその友のためにいのちを捨てるという、これよりも大きな愛はだれも持っていません。
聖書が述べる”愛”は日本語が持っている語感とかなり異なり、身が引き締まるような迫力があることが解りました。
