幼児虐待と発達

Physical or emotional abuse
during childhood could speed up the body's ageing process,
US research suggests.

A team from Brown University
focused on telomeres, the protective caps on the chromosomes
that keep a cell's DNA stable but shorten with age.

They found the telomeres of 31 people who had reported
abuse as children tended to shorten more rapidly,
speeding up cells' ageing process.

幼児虐待は、体の発達を促進する？

米国の研究者は、身体や精神への幼児虐待は、
細胞の発達過程を促進する傾向があることを
明らかにした。

但し、虐待を受けた幼児は、発達も早いが、
短命のようである。

また、幼児期の虐待を調べれば、
寿命や病気になる確率などが、
推測できるのではと考えられている。
