The Homecoming Weekend Concert performed by Andrews University Singers & Sinfonietta went very well! I knew it was gonna be pretty tight, so I’ve invited lots of friends and I had a great time with them. Actually, the famous TAKE 6 was supposed to do the concert, but upon their sudden cancellation, the choir and orchestra had to pull it off in a very short amount of time!
Since the beginning of the semester, the AU Singers have been practicing for 1.25 hours a day, three days a week, for four weeks, 15 hours in total. Therefore, 15 hours were labored for that one hour concert. Then I thought, to be able to present a quality time for the audience, many numbers of hours must be concentrated into a presentable hour. Not just spending many hours anyhow, but with energy, talents, and determination, the hours can become more dense and pure. One hour performance by professionals is evermore concentrated! Imagine how many hours are spent by a top athlete who runs 100M for less than 10 seconds. Or how many hours a poet spend to write a poem with less than 200 words. I heard that a firework maker takes the entire year to create one firework ball. What a luxury to enjoy such a concentrated hour bursting with care, energy, and talents!
Thirty-three years Jesus spent on this earth, especially the last three years of His life must have been the most concentrated time on the earth for He has brought eternity into it...
