What an eventful day it was yesterday! That’s right, we finally moved to that beautiful apartment, all working hard from the morning. It was really helpful to have friends come and help, one even came all the way from Indianapolis! I wanna thank all of you who carried heavy boxes, who clean-up the old apartment, and who cooked food for us. Thank you!!! I pray that we will be able to return you a favor... May this apartment be blessed and be a place for fellowship and relaxation. We have more space for people now. I have more space for myself as well. So I’d like to make a space that would stimulate my creativity! How exciting, the second chapter of my graduate school life is about to begin....
In the middle of the move, I had to leave for a graduation of my former students. (It seems when things are happening, they all happen at the same time!) I used to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) students till last year. It was touching to see those students who used to face difficulties and challenges graduate this year again. Congratulations! I’m sure you experienced tough language barriers, faced unfamiliar customs and ideas, and worried about studies, relationships, and yourselves.... So I’m proud of you; You’ve made it with all the extra baggage as other American students did. You will still encounter challenges in life I’m sure, but rest be assured you’ll be just fine knowing that you’ve gained more strength, skills, courage, and compassion for struggling people each time you conquered the obstacles. I’m here to support you still. (Getting a little didactic here...)
I better get unpacked now!
