What is your hometown like?
●Home is where the heart is.
The home country looks sweeter to long for from a distance than to actually live in.
Nevertheless it is for three hours from TOKYO to my hometown NISHINOMIYA through the use of Shinkansen.
By the way I went back to hometown on this vacation.
It has been 16years Since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake happened, and there are a few traces of the earthquake.
There is the very busy HANSHIN highway which was the symbol of the earthqusake’s disaster.
And there are a few empty pieces of land where the buildings were broken by the earthquake.
My mother said there will be the 10 story buildings near my family home.
And now there is a population of 480,000 people in NISHINOMIYA CITY.
As NISHINOMIYA CITY
my family house is in the bay area of the city and there remains the sand beach, so I can time slip to my boyhood when I played on the beach.
It was one of my happy memories that I kicked the rugby ball and shouted to the sea as I was WAKADAISHO.
There is narrow space in north and south, but There are ROKKO Mountains, Seto inland sea, and
Osaka Bay.
I think you can never be bored with the area.
But I think that my hometown is not eventful and it is the countryside.
I have not yet gotten nostalgic and homesick.
But I am filled with a feeling of relaxation.
I hope the Tohoku district will be recovered as soon as Kobe had done.
