While countries good at information warfare succeeded in humiliating Japan in their lobbying activities at the U.N. (* precisely speaking, it's not foreign countries, but domestic anti-Japan left wingers), Tokyo has been nothing more than a do-nothing bystander.

On Dec. 27, that Sugita submitted her resignation letter as Parliamentary Vice-Minister for the MIC to Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Takeaki Matsumoto.
During the Diet session this fall, UH lawmaker Taiga Ishikawa (CDPJ), who has publicly announced himself as gay, and so on grilled Parliamentary Vice-Minister Sugita -- such as questioning her whether or not she had a will to withdraw her 2018 contribution and apologize on her expression of "not productive."
As a result, they are probably very happy to have successfully excluded her from the Cabinet.

In the situation that the neighboring country is firing missiles toward Japan, a political party wasting precious time at the Diet with silly questions can't be entrusted with power.
