一般のソロモン人は財布を持つ習慣がありませんので、流通している紙幣はほとんどが酷く汚れていて、素手で持つのをためらうほどのものもあります
さらにその匂いも独特のものが染み付いています
おそらく汗と埃にビートルナッツのにおいが混ざったものではないかと思います
お札をきれいに折り畳んで持っている人はかなり珍しく、スーパーのレジで支払いをする時も、握りしめてかたまりになった状態のまま放り投げるようにします
写真は今日偶然入手した10ドル札の新券3枚ですが、よくみると上下のマージン幅が全部異なっています
中には若干斜めになっているものさえあります
国内の印刷技術では無理だと思いますので、おそらくオーストラリア政府が印刷を請け負っていると思われます
Today I realized by chance that the quality of the money bill of Solomon Islands is not good.
Ordinary people in SI don’t have the custom to have the wallet and current bills are very dirty and sometimes such as it makes me to hesitate to touch with bare hand.
Furthermore most of them smells bad seems sweat, dust and the beetle nuts.
People who keep the bills folding in order are very rare and when ordinary people pay at the casher in the super market they squeeze it in their hand and throw it like as the ball.
The pictures are three almost new bills of the 10 Dollar I got today by chance, watching it carefully the print margin of up and bottom are all different.
One of them seems not straight.
The domestic print technology is not enough and probably the Australian government will be assisting it.
