昨日は埼玉県知事とさいたま市長を表敬訪問しました
朝１０時４５分、知事公舎に埼玉県出身のボランティア２３名が集合して、知事を訪問しました
あいにくと知事は別の公用でお会いできませんでしたが、かわりに副知事が我々を歓待してくれ、全員が埼玉国際親善大使に任命されました
その後埼玉会館という施設に移動して、そこで埼玉県の協力隊員を育てる会主催の壮行会に出席しました
ここにはＪＯＣＶ隊員のご両親など多数のゲストが出席され我々の門出を祝ってくれました
この２箇所では、最年長のせいか私が隊員代表としてのスピーチを仰せつかり、必ず全員無事に仕事を全うして帰国することを誓いました
午後３時からはさいたま市長を訪問し、ここでは市長から直接激励の言葉をいただきました
Yesterday, we 23 volunteers from Saitama visited the governor of Saitama prefecture and the mayor of Saitama city together.
We visited the official residence of the governor at 10:45.
Unfortunately the governor was absent by another official work and the vice governor attended there instead and he appointed all of us the good will ambassador of Saitama.
After that, we moved to the public facility Saitama-kaikan and the farewell party was held by the OB association.
At 3:00 pm, eight of us who came from Saitama city moved again to the city office and met the mayor of Saitama city.
He told each of us and encouraged by himself.
