XTCの初期衝動と言うと、まずサイエンスフリクションを想い出すけど、しょっぱなから捻くれてるところ（この曲、Making Plans For Nigelも然り...）が一筋縄ではいかん。。。（アンディ・パートリッジもマッドサイエンティスト的アーティスト
）
XTCのThe Disappointed... この曲、1992年にBEAT UK
で、NED'SとかBLURとか新進気鋭のバンドが数多くかかる中ストラングラーズのゴールデンブラウンやThe Cureのフライデイアイムインラブと共に大御所バンドとして堂々とその存在感を知らしめてた... その強烈な印象
を音と映像と共に鮮明に想い出す...
音楽には（映像にも？）やはり時の扉が宿っている・・・

『INDIA』すごく好き
飽くることがない、終わることがない、物語を見出した気持ち・・・
永遠の夏・・・ 表現された世界の謎解きを（アンソニー・バージェスの言葉の意味を追い求めるが如く...
、そして彼に影響を受けたアンディ・パートリッジの思考を巡る旅
に魅せられた人たちみたいに...
）、この先もずっと永遠にしていたくなる
