Dear music family,

It’s time to celebrate!! 🎉  March next year I am turning 80 years old. My biggest wish for this MILESTONE is that I celebrate it together with all my students and my colleagues from the past 50 years, friends and family (and🐕‍🦺and 🐈).

I’m organizing a birthday concert “VIOLA FEST” at the Concertgebouw, in the Kleine Zaal, on Sunday March 19th 2023 at 2.15 pm.

It’s not a normal concert. It’s a Viola Fest. It’s to celebrate being a violist, to share the joy of playing viola with others.

 

I will play Schumann and approx. 30 former students of all the conservatories throughout my teaching career will join the program. Of course this is just a small selection of wonderful violists I have met. Needless to say, I keep on meeting great violists in various masterclasses still today!

It would be a great honor to have the audience filled with all of you who want to join to celebrate Viola Fest for my 80th birthday. You are most welcome!

親愛なるミュージック・ファミリーの皆さん。

お祝いの時期がやってきました! 来年3月、私は80歳を迎えます。このマイルストーンに対する私の最大の願いは、私の生徒たちや過去50年間の同僚たち、友人や家族（そして🐕や 🐈）と一緒にこの年を祝うことです。

2023年3月19日（日）14時15分より、コンセルトヘボウのクライネ・ザールで、バースデーコンサート「VIOLA FEST」を開催します。

普通のコンサートではありません。ヴィオラ・フェスなのです。ヴィオラ奏者であることを祝い、ヴィオラを弾く喜びを他の人と分かち合うためのものです。

 

私がシューマンを弾くほか、私の指導歴のあるすべての音楽院の元生徒たち約30人がプログラムに参加する予定です。もちろん、これは私が出会った素晴らしいヴィオリストたちのほんの一部です。もちろん、現在もさまざまなマスタークラスで素晴らしいヴィオリストたちに出会い続けているのは言うまでもありません。

私の80歳の誕生日に、ヴィオラ・フェスタを一緒に祝ってくれる皆さんと一緒に、会場を埋め尽くすことができたら、とても光栄です。大歓迎です。
