この曲は、1958年にジョニー・マークスが作詞・作曲、当時13歳のブレンダ・リーが唄ったクリスマスソングです。
日本では放題もなく『ホワイト・クリスマス』のように大ヒットしていませんのであまり聞く機会がありませんが、
アメリカではトータル2500万枚以上の売上を記録するメガ・ヒットでクリスマス曲の定番となっています。
歌詞は、ツリーを囲んでみんな陽気に歌って踊って楽しく過ごそう、という昔ながらの明るい内容です。
