On June 21, the Chinese Embassy in Japan issued a spokesperson statement expressing "strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition" to the Japanese MoFA's concern over the collision between Chinese and Philippine vessels in the South China Sea.
It emphasized that "Japan isn't a party to the matter, it has therefore no right to intervene in the issue between China and the Philippines."

The statement has kept upgrade of cooperation between "the U.S. & Japan" and the "Philippines," saying that "Japan mustn't, together with the U.S. and the Philippines, undermine China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests."
In a press release on June 18, Japan's MoFA stated that "We once again express our serious concerns over behaviors tht strains the regional situation."
It didn't name China by name.
